Stayed here Oct. 10-14 -- Thank You TripAdvisor!

Everything went smoothly from check-in until check-out! Wow!

My only complaint is there payment policy for debit cards. I am not credit person, so I felt rather penalized. Specifically, I was not informed about this policy when booking on their website -- if you use your debit card at check-in, you will be required to make a deposit of $100 for each night for incidental coverage. I guess having a fully equipped kitchen, nice furnishings, and high-end electronics doesn't come without some faults. So, remember to bring you credit card!

Other than their preferred payment method problem, check-in and check-out was very fast.

One Bed-room Experience: Anyhoo, the hotel is very nice, just like the comments in good reviews that we have all read on tripadvisor. To summarize this place, it is exactly like the photos! My complaints are about the plasma TV’s. There are only 5 HD channels -- abc, nbc, cbs, pbs, and wb. Also, long distance phone service and pay-per-view did not work. I didn't complain about the latter not working, but I guess that might be because I was using a non-preferred payment method, as mentioned above.

One Bed-room View: Well, this is one topic which I have gotten mixed reviews about from tripadvisor. I stayed on the penthouse level, and the view was nothing special. I was facing the strip, but it was so far away and Planet Hollywood was right in the front. Really, I couldn't see much of the strip, and I don’t understand how any previous guest can say that they had a wonderful view of the strip. But, I had a very nice view of the mountains, and the patio is wonderful regardless of the limited strip view, especially at night time.

MGM Signature Location: The walk to the MGM was surprisingly short! From the Signature, the entrance to the MGM is next to the Spa and the MGM pool entrance, which I thought was quite convenient. But, this is also the rear of the MGM, so if you want to go the buffet that will be at the front. I do understand that they want you to stay on MGM property, and it will feel this way from the start. But, I was ok with this idea, since I rented a car, and I had a good understanding about where and what I wanted to do from previous trips. However, MGM Grand does offer numerous tasty treats. I loved the Grand Wok!

Food Services: I did not try in-suite dining or any of the minor eating establishments in the signature, but I did have 3 meals and one snack at the MGM Grand -- Grand Wok, Grand Buffet, and Grand Cafe. So, the Grand Wok was very tasty and very close to the KA Theater, but the Grand Cafe and Buffet was not very good.

P.S. If you want the best buffet in Vegas, go to the Wynn! I was highly impressed (and yes, it is better than Bellagio's)

Valet: Very fast -- never waited more than 3-4 minutes for my car! Also, they are very helpful with directions and will give you free bottled water, every time before you leave. Also, I tipped the valet every time, when I picked up my car.

Housekeeping: On my first day, I left a $5 tip laying on the bathroom sink counter, just to see what would happen. Wow, I must say this must have been encouraging to the housekeeping staff! They did a very nice job, and the housekeeping person left a specially folded towel on the sink that wrapped my toiletries, as if to say thank you. This seemed to brighten the housekeeping's person day, and it made my day. I suggest you leave a tip on each day too!

MGM shows: KA, I give two thumbs up! Only wished I saw this last, and not first, because it makes other Las Vegas shows less spectacular!

In conclusion, I enjoyed the MGM Signature! When you spend hours on the strip in crowds, walking among the masses, immersed in it’s sights and sounds, it feels really good to come back to a quiet, private hotel. I suggest you all try this experience! Go to the MGM Signature and be treated as an individual again.

The property is fabulous and ultra-modern, and Tower C is even better because it's the newest of the three. The staff is fantastic, and the suite was luxurious and impeccable. We have no regrets and plan to stay here again in the future. Lastly, we rented from VRBO, which I had never heard of until I went on Trip Advisor. We were hesitant to try out this method of booking accommodations, but the owner of 14936 went out of his way to accommodate us, was incredibly professional, answered all of our inquires promptly, and made himself available, all of which was greatly appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

WoW!!! Have been to Vegas many times, and now, will Never stay anywhere else! I am sure many of you have been awakened at 3am,by partiers coming in, feeling 'no pain', singing, laughing or arguing Loudly(yes, it is Vegas, yes this happens a lot of places...)...yeah, I got in at 1am--but now, it is Four a.m! NOt at the Signature! Unlike any other I have stayed at in Vegas, I never heard a door slam, anyone talking,tv blaring from another room, nor a toilet flush!
Yes, you will have to walk to the MGM proper, but it is not that far ( when you leave the Signature area after the last 'peoplemover',,go down the escalator right there by the big pool, and go to your left. Under the escalators will see an "Exit" door; go out that door, and straight across the street from there, walk straight, and you come out right on the Strip, right by Fatburger(yum!) and Walgreens--thus, avoiding walking through all of the MGM and the casino, etc).
Book this through vrbo.com and save even more! I can't say Enough good things about this place! If you want to avoid long check in lines, have your own pool area, just for Sig guests, and your own Starbucks, too!--then book now. The rooms are immaculate and beautiful, and the beds are heavenly!! We felt like we were coming 'home' at the end of each fun filled day, and had our own freshly brewed coffee,in real cups,.each morning, in our jammies, on Our balcony! Our one bedroom suite was luxurious and spacious, at a Great price! We opted for a suite with a one time cleaning, saved money, and were never disturbed by maids trying to get in to clean; it was easy to keep it neat for our 4 day stay. This Is the place.... Just--WOW!

We only could stay two nights - Oct 10&11, and I wanted to try something different from our usual haunts, which are the Venetian, THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay and the Bellagio. Trusting the Trip Advisor ratings, I went and found a VRBO unit (#114123) which guaranteed us Tower #1 and a 1 bedroom unit on the 28th floor. Because this was a corner unit, we also had two views of the strip. and by using VRBO our total cost was $462 for two nights, which was a savings of 20%. Having a beautiful kitchen with a Fridge, Icemaker, Blender and a Dishwasher turns a hotel room into an apartment. One of the vacation perks was soaking in the Jacuzzi tub, sipping Pina Colada slushi's, and watching the news on the bathroom TV. Oh, by the way, you can leave your bathrobes at home., as the Signature has nice ones for your use.

Much has been written about the walk to the MGM Hotel, and you should ignore the complainers, and listen to the people who tell you it is only a 5 minute stroll via moving sidewalks which run in both directions. Even if you were in the MGM Hotel itself at the end of one of their hallways, you still would have a 5 minute walk to the casino. Another trip advisor member provided a previous tip which we found quite useful and I will repeat again here. If you want an alternative route to the strip (i.e. - you are heading to Planet Hollywood, Paris or the Bellagio direction, then you should head outside and cross Harmon street to get inside the Miracle Mile Shops. You can do this by walking down the main entrance car ramp if you are staying in Tower 2-3 or the service car ramp from Tower 1.

I am posting some pictures of the views from our balcony, as pictures of the rooms at the Signature are easily obtained from other websites. Overall, this Hotel has quickly become our new favorite and we are already planning our next return trip, where we can stay longer.

I would have provided an excellent rating for this hotel but unfortunately we had difficulties during our check-in procedure, which nobody else has reported so far. There has been some discussion that people who book their units via owner websites rather than booking with the Signature are treated differently.

Like yourself and others staying in upscale accommodations, after dealing with airports, airplanes, and taxicabs all day, we wanted to get into our room as quickly as possible, to de-compress a bit before heading out for a night on the town. Gone are the days when I would arrive in Vegas at midnight; travel to a $69/night dive; throw my duffle bag at a bell captain and brag, "I'll see you at dawn!" We now like staying in nicer rooms, but when I do this, I like to get into them at check in time, and enjoy them for as long as I can, even using late checkout when available.
We arrived at 2:45PM and were told our room was not ready yet. Fair enough, as check-in is not until 3:00PM, so we hung back for 15 minutes. At 3:00PM however, we were told the room was still not ready. We then agreed to have our bags stored, and decided to go explore the MGM Casino to give the hotel some time to fix this problem. We returned at 4:30PM to again be told the room was still not ready and the front desk could not give me a definitive answer as to when it would be ready., other than it should be soon. I asked what "soon " meant, as we were told two hours earlier, it would be soon as well. He apologized and said it was not within in his direct control, so he did not want to give me a firm time, of which I appreciated his honesty. We then waited another 15 minutes, during which time the front desk made 3 calls on my behalf to check the status of the room. We were then told the room was actually ready all along (?) but housekeeping had just not updated their records. I was then given a very detailed explanation that the previous guests had left some belongings or bags in the room, and security was in the process of removing these, and by the time we got to the suite it would be totally clear. At 4:45PM they gave us the keys but when we arrived at the room, we found 3 housekeeping personnel inside, furiously cleaning the unit. It was a bit uncomfortable for the 5 of us. My wife and I stood in the middle of the living room for 5 minutes as the staff finished their work. Either the Front Desk officer was telling us some little white lies to try and appease us, or somebody was lieing to him. I was a bit preturbed of course during all of this, and during one of the waits in the lobby, the front desk asked me, "are you friends with the owner, or is this just a rental?" I responded, "does it matter?"

We are at that stage of our lives where we can afford to by finicky. We want to be pampered, but we are cost-conscious, too. We go for comfort in preference over glitz. We like a certain degree of class, but we are not fond of ostentatious opulence. In a city like Las Vegas (LV), where everything is geared toward razzmatazz, toward the bombastic, and where kitsch is de rigueur, finding true class can be difficult. It turns out, however, that it’s not impossible.

The Signature at MGM is an oasis of luxury, peace, comfort, excellent service, and convenience, amidst incessant traffic, inappropriately dressed, hammered, perplexed “tourists,” and the constant cacophony of gaming machines. For our future trips to Las Vegas, we will not consider any other place to stay, whether for 3 nights or 3 weeks. We could have spent twice as much at the Bellagio or three times as much at the Wynn, but I doubt it very seriously that we would been more pleased. In fact, looking at the throngs of people through which one has to wade to simply get to the check-in/-out desk at all the hotels on the Strip, I know we would have gnashed our teeth at least twice a day.

Transportation: Signature/MGM have a van waiting for you at Door 13 in the Baggage Claim area. I will cost you 6 bucks per person. Taxis and limousines are there, too, but they are a little more expensive. Or a lot more expensive if you want one of them stretch Humvees. We took the van to the Signature and a taxi back to the airport. Both were very comfortable and got us where we had to go in 10 minutes. If you leave on a Sunday, like the rest of the 100,000+ visitors/day (about 37 million people visit LV every year), make sure your driver deposits you at the Departures level, otherwise you will wander around mindlessly trying to figure out in which 2-mile line you are supposed to be to go through Security. Better yet, leave on any other day, but Sunday.

Distances: A bit of a walk to the MGM Hotel & Casino. However, the connecting corridor is air-conditioned and has several moving walkways. We didn’t mind it one bit, since the only time we went to MGM is when we wanted to eat there (both their Buffet and Wolfgang Puck's were superb – if a bit on the dear side) or when we arrived back from the Strip and used the Monorail. Tower 3 is 2 blocks from the Strip. Tower 2 has car rentals, which should have used, given that the cab cost me $50 each way to the Red Rock Resort, where my Convention and Workshops were.

The suite: Since it was only the two of us, we stayed in a Junior Suite. Our suite was absolutely magnificent. These were built as condos and are appointed as such: Jacuzzi bath tubs, separate shower and toilet, a totally up-to-date kitchen with any appliance and dishes you could possibly wish for, plasma flat-screen TV, high-speed wired or wireless Internet access (for free), one of the best king size beds we have ever slept on (terrific down comforter), terry-cloth bathrobes, couch, work-table, comfortable chairs, and even a TV in the bathroom. Phone in the toilet area, too. Paintings and artwork are tastefully chosen and enhance the décor. There are no smells and the A/C worked perfectly.

Amenities: The 3-tower complex has anything you would want, including workout gyms, deli, pools, Starbuck’s, etc. We were there from Thursday through Sunday and there were never any crowds no matter where we went.

Service: Incredible. To our chagrin, we have been experiencing degradation in the once-famous American services for years. At the Signature, courtesy and helpfulness are not mere lip service. Your wishes and questions are settled almost instantly. Room service is fast. We had difficulty getting on the wireless Internet (on the 22nd floor we were probably too high up from the router and/or repeater, I guess), but within minutes a technician was up and hooked us up to a T3. Brilliant. Every time we waited for a cab (which they call for you), the bellboy would offer us bottled water. Never waited more than 3 minutes for a taxi. We had our show reservations made via the Internet, but I know for a fact that the concierge would have made arrangements for any show or club we would have wanted. When you talk to a concierge, you are talking to a person. Let me put it this way: when we left we went looking for Julie so we could give her hugs. She is a jewel. Whatever we needed or asked for she proffered with panache, a sense of humor, and competently.

Suggestions for visitors: Do ask for Tower 3, a high floor, and balcony looking toward the Strip. You will be closer to the Strip (2 blocks) and the mini marts, if you want to stock your refrigerator with food, drinks and snacks. Las Vegas is expensive, so if you want to cook in, you will have everything you need to set up house. Although, staying in would a shame, because some of the best chefs in the World are now in Las Vegas. We did not have a single meal that was not outstanding, by anybody’s standards. Find and use the monorail (from and to the MGM) for going up-and-down the entire Strip. The trains arrive every 15 minutes, run from 7 AM until 2 AM on week days and 3 AM on weekends and you get to watch the Las Vegas Strip from high up, as it glides by. Buy an unlimited rides pass, if you are staying for 2 or more days.

Conclusion: If you crave “action,” crowds, hubbub, the thrill of shrieking slot-machines, and constant partying, The Signature at MGM will not be your cup of tea. If, on the other hand, you need to restful sleep at night, you need a haven from the glitzy casinos, want to be treated like royalty at very reasonable prices AND be no more than 2 blocks from where the action is, you cannot do any better than The Signature. I (it was my wife’s first trip to LV) have stayed at several casino-hotels and spa-resorts over the last 3 decades and I have never received better treatment or value or felt more comfortable than at the Signature. We WILL be back every time we go to Las Vegas.
