This was my first time to stay at the Signature at MGM Grand. I picked this hotel based on the ratings at this site, great bathroom, and the excellent room rate of $159 for Sun 9/23 - Wed 9/26. I was in town for a conference at the Paris Hotel.

Check In -- Check In went smoothly. From other reviewers comments I called the day before to verify what tower I was in and I verified my cabbie knew where the signature was so I had no problems there. We went straight through the security gate.
The Cab ride was about $15 with tip from the airport.
Luckily, I was in Tower 1 which is closest to the MGM Grand.
Upon check in the attendant put me on floor 36 with a mountainview. I wanted a strip view on a high floor so he looked again. He found a Tower 2 room but I wanted to stay in Tower 1.
In the end he found room 29-617. This was a strip view with a balcony. This is classified as the penthouse.

The Room -- The room was picture perfect and met my expectations. Everything was spotless and clean. The remote control was a little tricky to operate at first but I figured it out. The coffee maker and the kitchenette was very nice. If you can not tell from the pictures there is a sink, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, blender, two hot stoves. I only got to use the coffee maker on this trip. There are place settings for two. The balcony and fresh air is really nice. I agree with other reviews that they should have chairs out there.

The great bathroom - I ususally pick hotels based on the quality and size of the bathroom. This bathroom did not disappoint. Stand up shower, jacuzzi tub, double sinks, water closet, and plenty of space. The June Jacobs toiletries have a citrus smell. Even the Kohler sinks and nice sturdy fixtures were nice. There were 3 nice sized clean drawers to put my products in. There was a hair dryer, but I didn't use it. Vegas is so dry I air dry my hair. My only complaint with the bathroom is the maid did not leave enough floor towels. I like one in front of the shower, tub, and toilet. There was only one.

Room Service - I ordered room service for breakfast one morning. I got the continental for $18. It arrived in about 20 minutes. I got 3 pastries, fruit, assortment of jams, and coffee.

Housekeeping - There is a little light that you choose at your doorway for either do not disturb or housekeeping. This was nice so I was not bothered early in the morning. The first morning I left $5 and was left with 4 bottles of waters. They usually leave 2 in the room so that was nice. Plus I left a mess with the coffeemaker. She did a good job cleaning but forgot to leave me a new shower cap. I did not request turn down service so I can not comment on that.

Fitness Center - I used the fitness center once and it was great. The treadmill was nice and new with a little LCD tv. There was a fitness center attendant there. They provide headphones for you. They provide towels and iced down towels. They keep bottled water in a little fridge so if you ever need more you can get some here. They had a nice weight area too.

Miscellaneous - Tower 1 has the starbucks which seemed popular. It also had a nice lounge/bar area. Smoke free of course. I walked to Tower 2 and it a little bit bigger pool area then Tower 1 and had the little Delights restaraunt. The selections looked good but I didn't eat there.

The Location - Based on this website I knew what to expect with the walk to MGM Grand. I timed it and the walk from Tower 1 with the moving walkways to MGM was 3 minutes. From this entrance it puts your right next to the MGM Spa, Pool, and Studio Walk (restaurant and shopping). In 7 minutes from Tower 1 you're on the Casino Floor. After this point I lost track of time when I was staring in awe at the lions in the habitat.
From the casino entrance the walk to Paris was about 15 minutes. The monorail is a great alternative to walking. The monorail is very convenient to the Signature in the Studio Walk. For $9 you can get an all day pass.

Miscellaneous - The wireless access in the room was not a problem. I got onto the signature network without any problems.
The $15 resort fee is worth it for the free wireless access, fitness center, in-room coffee, and water bottles. Wireless access elsewhere costs this much per day anyhow.

Overall - I'd stay here again it's nice to step into the Signature lobby after being in the crowds and smoke of the strip.

We stayed here for 5 nights after reading the other reviews.

We arrived here from Calgary through Seattle. Due to Alaska airlines maintenance problem we had flight changed at short notice and we arrived at midday.

The front desk clerk immediately assured us that since it was a Tuesday he could get us a room, unfortunately though, not one with a strip view. This was okay as it was not our first time in Vegas.

We stayed in tower 2. Let me say this straight away, this hotel is not on "The Strip", if you want to stay in a hotel with a casino on the strip, this is not the hotel for you.

We absolutely loved this hotel for that reason. We wanted to be close enough to the strip to walk there but also wanted to relax. This hotel is all about being relaxed.

The rooms were excellent, comfortable beds, free wireless internet, large LCD TV, kitchenette. We had previously stayed at the Bellagio, this room outdid the suite we had there, just!!!!

We had one problem during the stay is that although we paid the $15 resort fee, did not receive the 2 bottles of water (and the housekeeper, who gladly took our tip, left the rubbish in our room and barely cleaned it). We contacted housekeeping who immediately brought us 4 bottles of water and unbeknownst to me at the time had wiped the report fee from our entire stay, $75, so we were very happy.

The room service in this hotel was great, in fact, the entire hotel was great. My wife and I have a special place in our heart for vegas as we got married there and when we return, we will stay at the Signature again.

  • Liked — Location, off the strip, friendly staff
  • Disliked — Nothing, even our small problem was quickly rectified.

We recently spent one week at the Signature and were very impressed with the luxurious accomodations. We stayed in a one bedroom suite (penthouse) on the 32nd floor of Tower 1 which had beautiful high end furnishings, a full modern kitchen, two bathrooms and a gorgeous bedroom with views of the mountains and The Strip. The Signature property is gated with excellent valet service, excellent housekeeping and a Starbucks coffee shop on the lobby level. The walk to MGM Grand casino was refreshing and quite short. We recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Las Vegas and especially those vacationers who would like a quiet oasis to retreat to after experiencing the excitement and noise of Las Vegas.

We stayed in the signature for 4 nights in September and could not fault the signature on anything. From the very beginning we were treated by all staff in a friendly and welcoming manner. We asked for a room with a strip view and were given a suite on the 14th floor but when we realised we had no blacony we were given a room on the 19th floor with a fabolous view of the Eiffel tower from our balcony by a man called Rick from the front desk without any hassle whatsoever, we were even given an adaptor at no extra charge and when checking out the front desk and concerige staff were very helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport even at 4am in the morning! ( A taxi was had pulled up before we even finfished checking out!!) I dont why ppl were complaining about the walk to the MGM, we were in tower 3 which is the furthest and honestly it took no more than 10 mins to the MGM complex which considering the size of the strip is an easy stroll in vegas. The pool was amazing each tower has its own pool so you had your pick of loungers and friendly staff who offered us drinks and when we walked by the packed MGM pool we were def. glad to be staying at the signature. What can I say about our suite it was the most amazing room weve ever stayed in, the room in real life actually looks like the hotel photos which is rare. The whirpool tub was heaven after a day walking the strip and our suite felt like a little oasis to come back to each day. It takes us almost 12 hours to fly to vegas but were already planning our next trip just so we can go back to the signature.

The Signature comes out as top hotel venue in LV and we completely agree with this accolade. We stayed at the Bellagio last year and the Signature beats the Bellagio 100%. The accommodation I would class in the luxury bracket and immaculately clean. It is everything and more than the video shows.
The Signature offers the best of everything, marginally off strip (slightly set back) so that there is no noise, no casino (heaven), no crowds in the lobby, (have you ever had to contemplate the scrum called check in other hotels?), exceptional courtesy from staff and quiet uncrowded pools (3 of them.) For us there is no other place we would contemplate staying at in Vegas. Good value for money given size of room and if you can afford it go for the one bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms. Much more than a home from home!
Thoroughly recommended.

  • Liked — Fabulous expansive luxury room and 2 bathrooms - on holiday!
  • Disliked — The coffee shop did not open till 7am, hopeless for insomniac Brits on UK time!
