Our stay @ Red Rock was just awesome. The pool was very kid friendly and it was not crowded at all. We visited all other big hotels on the strip, and they were all packed with people. Since Red Rock is about 20 min away from the strip, it's a great choice if you have kids. Kidquest offers a great daycare service so you can have some alone time with your significant other or do some gambling while your kids are playing with other children. A rental car is a must if you are staying at Red Rock cause transportation may get expensive. We had a great time and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we go back.

My husband and I have been to Las Vegas twice before and stayed on the strip. We don't gamble much other than cheap slot machines, so this time we wanted to stay outside of town, away from the crowds, and do some hiking. The Red Rock fit our needs perfectly! This is a beautiful resort and there are so many things to do here that you could never leave the place and still have a great time! We went bowling there and ate at three of their restaurants, gambled a little in the casino, and had a wonderful time. We rented a car and went hiking in the Red Rock National Park, which is lovely and well worth spending a day exploring. We drove to the strip one day and walked around. The pool at the resort was beautiful, but we never had time to go swimming. We only stayed two nights, so we didn't get to do all that is available at the resort. I highly recommend the LBS restaurant---the hamburgers and salads are delicious! Also, be sure to try the Grand Cafe---luscious desserts and superb sandwiches---also a very good breakfast.
You can get a dessert and cup of milk to take to your room for a late night treat there. We ate at the Feast Buffet only once and found that the alcohol is MUCH cheaper there than anywhere else in the resort---2 dollar beers---that's a bargain, and the food and service were good. The only drawback is the waiting in line---but the price is worth the wait.
As in other reviews, it is true that the mini-bar in the room is way overpriced and you get charged if you even move anything in it---so we did not touch it! Also, the bars in the casino can get quite smoky---for non-smokers this is a drawback. We liked sitting at the bars playing the slots, but as soon as a smoker sat by us, we left and went to the non-smoking part of the casino. As for the room, it was perfect! The bathtub is HUGE---you could almost swim laps in it! And the toiletries are very good quality. The robes are a nice touch, too. Also, we discovered that there is a "Do Not Disturb" button that you can push that is right next to the door---it is easy to overlook, and if you don't use it, the maids will knock on your door constantly in the morning to check and see if you are ready to have your room cleaned. I didn't see the button until our second night. The only thing about the room I didn't like is that it is pretty dark---there are no lights in the center of the room. Other than that, the bed is heavenly and the view is amazing (we were on the canyon side). My husband and I have traveled all over the world and rarely go back to the same place twice, but we want to go back to the Red Rock and stay for a week, rent a car, and visit all the national parks nearby. We are already planning to return during Thanksgiving week next year. We loved this place!

Just got back from one night at the Red Rock and I am really impressed with this place. I booked it on Hotwire (they don't tell you the hotel until after you confirm payment) and got a great deal (choose a 4-star west of the strip and this is probably the hotel you will get; got the room for $65 plus the resosrt fee).
From the airport, if you are lucky you will catch the free shuttle to the hotel but if not, a cab can run $60+ (it will vary on the driver and the route). Go to the other side of the terminal and you can get a Town Car for $66 (fixed rate). There is also no line usually for the Town Car/Limo area while the cab line can be long. It is about a 30-40 minute drive to the hotel from the airport but it could take longer during rush hour.
The check-in was easy and quick and I was off to my room in no time.
The room was great. Clean and well designed with a very comfortable bed and a 42" plasma on the wall (no HD channels). The room reminded me of The Hotel at Mandalay Bay but without the living room (hopefully that makes some sense). I had a view of the pool which looked awesome but I didn't get to it on this trip. The bathroom in the room is well appointed with a soaking tub with LCD TV mounted on the wall at the foot of the tub. The separate shower is nice but no rain head as I thought I saw in some other reviews. (The head is a little higher on the wall so for some, this may have appeared to be a rain head but I am on the taller side so no such luck for me.)
There are a bunch of restaurants but I only tried two of them. Since the Mets were playing and I wanted to catch the game, I got a burger from their food court (Fatburger-what an unfortunate if not accurate name). It was tasty. Also I had breakfast at the buffet. One tip-get their player's club card and you get a dollar off the price but only if you also set up a pin number first. Do this at the player's club area. No pin number, no discount.
The casino workers were friendly and there were plenty of tables available. I played craps and they had $10 min at night and $5 min during the day. (Typical 3x4x5x odds)
Overall, the entire place was really attractive and without the nuttiness of the strip. I will definitely stay here again.
(The free shuttle back to the airport is a lot easier to get since it runs on a consistent schedule but get in line 10 or so minutes before it leaves otherwise it may fill up. They do have a couple of cars there to take you to the airport for $55 fixed rate according to the bell man I spoke with.)

Just got back from Red Rocks with my girlfriends and we had a wonderful experience and loved the resort. First of all the spa is beautiful and peaceful so if you are looking to get away from it all this is the place. It was serene and relaxing with a large hot tub and sauna/steam room area. There is also a private pool and cabana area for guests using the spa that is quiet and private. Exercise room is fully equiped and more than most need on vacation.

The pools are awesome especially the adults only (over 21) private pool area. This is a total gem - especially if you want to go topless. The pool is lined in luxury cabanas and large round beds to sleep and sun in. They even play loud music which I liked because it drowned out the voices from the main pool which included alot of children.

The staff at the bars and restaurants were as friendly as they come and the service was excellent we never waited for anything. They are quick with the drinks!! And the drinks and food were really nice.

Overall this place is beautiful and I will be visiting again.
