I stayed at the Red Rock during a recent convention trip. It was a fabulous stay, with great rooms. The rooms were sumptuous, and above average. The beds were heavenly, and I have stayed in numerous hotel beds. The bathroom was just as great. The huge, deep bathtub was a welcome retreat after a long day. The stand alone shower and separate toilet area was great as well.

Be careful of the mini bar as it is a touch sensitive mini-bar, and if items are removed after 45 sec you will be charged. If you come with small children, be warned that they are just at child level.

I was lucky enough to have a wonderful mountain and pool view, a few of my fellow travelers overlooked the parking garage and a very distant strip view. It truly was awe inspiring to see the mountains every day.

The lobby may not be as impressive as some of the strip hotels, it surely is welcoming, and the property is very family friendly as opposed to many of the strip properties.

I would say that the hotel restaurants leave a bit to be desired. The burger place, LBS was okay, but as was our experience in all of the property sit-down restaurants, the service was painfully slow. There are a few restaurants, as well as a food court in the hotel. The sandwich place in the food court was one of the best experiences I had as far as food on property.

As many of the other reviewers touched on, the property is a u-shaped property, with the elevator located in the center, so chances are your room will be a far haul from the lobby and elevator. There is another set of elevators but it only goes to the pool. The hotel shops also leave a bit to be desired, if you forget anything or would like a late night snack, i guess the hotel wants you to order room service, as the shop has very little to offer, besides over-priced clothing.

There is a shuttle to the strip if you plan on heading down, make sure you pickup a schedule from the concerige desk. It runs limited hours, and a cab is about a $50 trip one way. The shuttle runs to the Fashion Mall, make sure if you are planning on using the shuttle you get clear specifications on where to catch the shuttle on the way back. They pick up on the lowest level of the mall, by the Gap. Helpful info as on the schedule it only says North Entrance, not marked very well in the actual mall.

Overall the stay at the Red Rock was great, just watch for some small pitfalls. Be prepared to relax and have a wonderful sleep in a fabulous bed!

I'm not a big fan of LV and I was on conference #2, so a little cranky when I stayed here. At the time of my stay, this hotel was out on the periphery of LV past Summerlin, well beyond the strip. I got there via a $50 cab ride from the airport. They do have a shuttle from the airport that runs every 2 hours. The lobby and room are both elegant and modern in sort of that fake LV way. The service was lax. It took nearly 45 minutes for room service. The casino looked like any other to me, it was huge with several restaurants. But, the best thing about the place was the pool, which is just meant for lounging and cocktails. The service just ok. No one was ever in a hurry there. Apparently, they only hire 20-something year old brunette women 5'2" waitstaff for the pool and insist they wear Juicy Couture type sweats. (I realize that might appeal to some people...but all I wanted was my cocktail and a reprieve from the conference blah, blah, blah.) They encouraged us to check out using the keyboard in the room; the batteries were missing in mine. Another instance of 'just sort of shrug your shoulders' service. And, this hotel is like a lot of others that likes to charge for every service, like wireless, the resort (because you're staying in one), which I find annoying.

We arrived in Vegas on Friday and stayed at the Rio which was wonderful! We then moved to the Red Rock for Saturday and Sunday. We had a suit reserved of which they gave away and only had a regular room available. The room was dirty and had hair in the tub. The next evening we were moved to a suit. We had the “do not disturb” sign posted and found the cleaning crew in our room. The TV in the bathroom didn’t work and they only provided us with one robe (the rooms are supposed to have two robes). Certain charges were to be compd. Come to find, I have many charges to my credit card. The last day we ate at the buffet for breakfast and the waitress was extremely rude. Needless to say, we will not be staying there ever again!

I recently attended a conference at the Red Rock and loved it in spite of the fact it was not on the strip. The rooms were very spacious and nicely appointed. They did not spare any expense on this property as the hotel was spectacular. My only problem was not having a coffee maker in the room. There was quite an assortment of restaurants to choose from and even a food court for families on a tight budget. My only issue was with the Service I received when I was looking for my materials that I sent to the hotel for a tradeshow. NO one could find them even though there was a clear signature on the tracking form....All in all it was a great stay and I even won money in the casino. My only suggestion would be to rent a car if you want to make trips to the Strip as the cabs rides are very costly...It cost me $55 from the airport to the hotel and $45 dollars from the strip to the hotel.

We stayed at the Red Rock for three nights while attending a travel conference. The conference facilites are highly recommended. Well designed and very high tech.
The hotel itself is beautiful with a fantastic pool area. Lots of loungers ( that we never had time to use) and several small pools extending off the huge main one. Great area for sun worshipers. There were several dining opportunities from the Feast Buffet to Cops Steakhouse. There is also a food court area with lots of "quick"dining options. The casio is very large with several thousand slots and every other game possible.
The rooms themselves were a bit weird. Good size with beds that were very comfortable and a 42" plasma TV that I could never quite figure out. The rooms are however very dark. Even with all the lights turned on you still had problems seeing. The bathroom although very good size was awkward for two ladies sharing a room because it was an open configuration. There was no toilet privacy and no shower curtain. Several other attendees that I spoke to did not have the same set up so be sure you know what you are getting before you decide to stay in those type rooms. Another drawback of the hotel in my opinion is that it is so far off the Stripe that getting there cost $75.00 in a taxi.
If you want to be in the heart of the city this hotel is not for you. If you want to be away from all the glitz this could be your place. There is even a movie theatre and a bowling alley. Staff was frieindly but not overly. Housekeeping staff were slow in picking up room service trollys. Not sure I would stay there again on my next trip.
