The Red Rock is the best hotel ever! I would want to stay here even if it wasn't in Las Vegas. The hotel is very clean and not smokey at all. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. There are plenty of entertainment options besides gambling (e.g. bowling, movies, shopping, fine dining). The pools are amazing and it is free to use the fitness area of the spa, which is VERY unusual for Vegas. The restaurants are awesome. I have spent a perfect afternoon at the bar of the Salt Lick, eating BBQ, drinking wine, and playing video blackjack. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The one drawback is that it is pretty far from the airport and the strip, however I just found out that there is a free shuttle from the airport!!! I can't wait to go back!

This is a luxurious hotel decorated in an art deco style. Rooms are large and well appointed, there are plenty of dining options covering a wide range of cuisines and the pool area is beautiful. Staff is friendly and courteous.

The problem is the hotel's night club, which is allowed to blast loud rock music until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The bass and percussion are clearly audible in guest rooms facing the pool area. This is not the type of noise that can be blocked out and makes sleep extremely difficult. When we called to complain, we were given two options: move to another room or use earplugs. (we had already tried earplugs) We were there for a seminar and had a substantial amount of clothing and belongings with us, so moving was not practical, especially in the middle of the night when we were already dressed for bed. The staff was well aware of the problem with the night club, had received many complaints and told us they "felt sorry" for the guests. Our recommendation: don't stay if you actually want to sleep at night or unless you are willing to pay extra for the "strip view" rooms.

Great accomodation (room, space and decor of hotel) and fantastic pool (lots of chairs), staff very cordial and eating place of your choice. Concierge (purposefully) don't want to mention across the street Olive Garden, Mexican and great Asian restaurant, plus Costco for wine. Shuttle stops pick-ups from strip at 9 PM so difficult to get back from any show but this is the only disadvantage of this fabulous resort.

Beautiful Hotel - Service not so good

We stayed at the Red Rock this weekend. While the hotel was beautiful and some aspects of service were excellent there were still some troubling issues.

1. After a long morning at the pool on Friday we asked to order lunch. We were told that the hotel no longer served lunch at the pool on Weekdays and we would need to buy food at the foodcourt. I complained at serveral different levels about this and shockingly no one knew this was a new policy (it was).

2. The wait staff as the pool was young, inexpereienced, and not at all interested in service. A contributing factor could be the fact that they don't have to earn their tips, the tip is automatically added to your bill.

3. The concierge left alot to be desired. My first call to them regarded show tickets, I was told they couldn't help me and I should call Ticketmaster. My second call for dinner reservations consisted of me being put on hold, then being told I would receive a call back. I was never called back.

For a high end resort such as the Red Rock I would expect a much higher level of service. Several employees we spoke with seemed to infer that the economy was to blame. I surely hope not.

This is a beautiful hotel and well worth staying there. I don't have a single complaint about it. It is laid out so you don't have to go through the casino to get to your room. The room was plush, two plasma tv's. The bed was so comfortable with high quality linens. There is a separate shower and bath tub. The room with two queen beds was very large. Also, the view of the Strip from the 15th floor was outstanding. It's very easy to park and be near your room as they have a covered garage and not difficult to find. I ate at LBS and it was a great place. They have hamburgs and veggie burgers. I also went to the buffet which was outstanding. I highly recommend staying at the Red Rock Hotel.
