Stayed here for two nights over Memorial Day weekend. Paid $69/night at Hotwire three months prior to.

Rooms are very modern, big (about 500sqft), elegant and clean. Big 42’ LCD on the wall. Floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing view of the Strip, though the view is a bit far. Bathroom is big with a small tv facing the tub, separate door for toilet for privacy, double sink, and separate shower. Robes and slippers are provided as well. The “Do not disturb” and “Make up room” signs are electronic, all you need to do is push the button in your room beside the door if you want either request. The lighting in the room could be better, even when the reading lights are on. The beds are heavenly, comparable to Palazzo’s beds and more comfortable than Paris’s, Flamingo GO’s and South Point’s beds.

Hotel is about 2 years old only. The grounds around the hotel are marvelous, lots of palm trees. Hotel registration took less than five minutes. The lobby inside is gorgeous. The whole atmosphere is very hip and trendy. You will need a car if staying at this place. The car ride is about 25 mins. to the Strip. There ‘s also a shuttle for hotel guests, part of the $21.79 daily “resort fee”, up from $19.95 recently. Aside from the shuttle, services included in the fee were free bottles of water and apples in the lobby, daily newspaper delivered to your door, and turndown service. If you happen to stay here, ask for a room near the elevator, it'll save you lots of walking because the elevators are only on one side of the hotel.

The pool is great, one big round pool with fountain in the middle, and several small pools including Jacuzzis. Lounge chairs have cushion and are plenty. Pool is open from 8-8pm when we were there.

The Feast Buffet is very good. Lots of variety and the ambience is the best of all the buffets we’ve tried. Very bright, modern. Price is reasonable at $16.99 per person for dinner with players card (18.99 without card). The buffet is slightly better than Mirage and Green valley ranch’s but below Mandalay’s Bayside buffet.

Overall, I cannot complain anything about this hotel. One thing I noticed though is that this hotel is family oriented because of the pool, arcade and cinemas. But even for couples this is great. With their amenities, you don't need to leave the property if you don't want to. Only time we left the property is when we had evening shows to attend or to meet up with friends. This is definitely worth the $69 a night for a five-star property in my opinion.

P.S. I apologize for the wrong date on the attached pictures. It should've been 05/25/08. Just forgot to reset the date on my camera while there.

“Love It - Especially if You're Not a Fan of The Strip”

I've never been big on the whole Vegas concept...and we're avid hikers who love the desert...so I wanted a place that wasn't the typical "strip" hotel. Boy, this really met the bill.

It's about twenty minutes from the strip on the outskirts of town, near the "red rocks" that give the hotel its name and inspire its decore. We loved the Frank-Loyd-Wright-ist meets postmodern style of the place; it's also wonderfully self contained with the casino (of course) plus bowling alley, movie theater, fully equiped spa, and concierge service for hiking in the canyons next store. You can stay there a week and never need to leave the area.

The spa services - which really distinguish this place from the strip experience - were excellent and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. We were there in January so we had the pool area to ourselves (and it was too cold to swim), but there were plenty of amenities, including a fully equiped work out room and several jaccuzzies. The casino itself has higher ceilings so it doesn't feel as closed in as a lot of places on the strip.

Mostly, though, we loved the convenience to Red Rock Canyons and the wonderful hiking trails. We even made it over to the strip for dinner one night, but coming back to Red Rock we were so glad to be able to escape the crowds and return to our little corner of paradise, where we could see the lights of the strip in the distance from our window.

It was a memorable vacation at Red Rock and boy, am I glad I chose it over one of the typical strip hotels.

“Beautiful Hotel”

My sister and I usually go to Las Vegas every year in May for Monday-Friday trip. In the past, we've stayed at Treasure Island, The Mirage, but usually at Mandalay Bay, which we absolutely love. This year, we decided to try something different, "off the strip" and when we saw that The Red Rock offered a free shuttle to the airport and the strip, we decided to try it.

The rooms were beautiful, the pool area was really nice and not crowded. The food at the buffet was good and the Bar B Que restaurant was excellent. There are some expensive restaurants there, but there are enough reasonably priced places to eat, as well as a "food court." They also have movie theaters and bowling alleys.

The casino area was bright and the air wasn't smokey, even when you were next to a smoker. The slots were pretty good and we were able to play for a while without losing a lot of money. There are so many penny machines!! We took a shuttle to the strip one day, and were really disappointed with the slot machines at the casinos we went to on the strip.

The only things we didn't like was the timing of the airport shuttle and the $21.75 per day casino fee. Our plane got into Las Vegas at 2:00 p.m., so we missed the 2 p.m. shuttle, and had to wait 2 hours. Our plane left Las Vegas at 6 a.m. and we had to be at the airport at 4 a.m. There are no shuttles at that time but the bell desk arranged for us to have a sedan take us to the airport, which was cheaper than a taxi would have been (wonderful!) Just make sure you leave your name with the bell desk the day before your flight.

“Awesome stay at Red Rocks!”

Great hotel for about $100 a night (not including their turn down fee). I didn't take any better pictures than are already available on previous posts but they don't do it justice. The pool is awesome but drinks are pricey--beers about $7 and mixed about $9+. The rooms are a very good size and the bed is extremely comfortable, not to mention a good size flat panel TV and another in the bath. I'd say its the among the nicest accomodations I've experienced anywhere and we've also spent time in Luxor and TI in Vegas. We found the staff very courteous and helpful. However, make certain not to dial out using the room phone, even locally as it will cost you $2.50 per connection. We found out the hard way, when we checked out. We even asked for a fridge to be brought up to the room which was complimentary.

Be sure to rent a car though if you plan on going anywhere away from the resort. Red Rocks park is about 5 minutes away and is a great place to sight see offers some great hiking and a scenic 13 mile drive.

Food in the food court is OK--Burger joint is expensive, and mexican was just OK and the Feast (buffet) was over rated. We heard good reviews and it is marginally cheaper compared to most on the strip but we found it lacking. It wasn't awful by any means but I wouldn't recommend it either.

Pretty much everything else has already been covered but overall we had no complaints and had a great time.

“Excellent VIP treatment for the young successful type”

Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa

I have never heard of this place until a friend told me about it. The Red Rock Hotel and Spa was recommended with such exclusive repertoire that I flew into Las Vegas with doubts about my choice to stay there. Luckily I have fantastic friends whom knew that I would love the first class VIP rooms overlooking the strip. The rooms were way under priced spending only $600 a night I had my own large private living room separate to my own marble bathroom and lush inviting bedroom. My room was divided from others with it's own VIP elevator, concierge service, complimentary fresh fruit, breakfast, and paper in the morning. Mornings were good but at night is where the Red Rock really shines. It doesn't matter if you are playing at the tables, going to there clubs (which were a bachelor's dream), or going to dinner with new friends from the clubs the Red Rock treats VIPs' like they should be treated. There was no waiting in lines for anything. Overall I rate my experience to be the best hotel experience I have ever had. The Terra Rosa has chocolate lava cake that can make a grown man cry it's so good. The pool is huge and the VIP treatment is the best I have ever had with spending so little. This will be the hotel I choose to stay at when I return to Las Vegas. That lava cake was so good!
