We were travelling during Spring Break with two teens and purposely wanted a hotel off the Strip. We had a rental car to drive to the Strip daily. Check-in was a breeze and you can check out through the TV in the room. Pleasant ly surprised with the large room, two queen beds, bathroom had separate shower and toilet from the sink and large countertop for all our toiletries. The only complaint we could make was that the pillows were on the small and hard side. If you are driving in, bring your own. Nice flat screen TV, Great outdoor view of the pool on the 15th floor. Room smelled amazing, perhaps it was the great Bath and Body Works complimentary toiletries in the room daily. Very clean, important to us. Lots of families with small children and teen sports teams over the weekend. Not the same frenetic pace and clientele as the Strip. Used by a lot of locals, apparently. Easy to use the self-park garage, or valet. Food was more than adequate and the prices were so reasonable, my goodness, buffet breakfast was less than a meal at a popular fast food restaurant. Loved the Mexican restaurant upstairs. Surprise was the Deli, good food, but overpriced. All staff was very friendly. Pool was awesome, lots of room when we were there. Seemed much more family oriented with the bowling alleys and theatres. Plus large equestrian centre. Researched for a couple of months before deciding on this Hotel and we HIT THE JACKPOT. Do not hesitate to recommend to families.

First time writer, long time reader. My family, wife and 3 kids (2 teenagers and 1 pre-teen) decided to spend spring break riding dirt bikes - my wife and pre-teen are not riders so going to Octellio Wells was a bore for them. So we decided to stay in Vegas and ride to many of the places around vegas (less than 40 mins away - if you want a list- Nelson Hills, Apex, etcc. just Google and you'll find list offered). So we got 2 rooms - one for the kids and one for the Mrs. and I - I tell you what, I was surprise at the cost $35.00/Room/Night - $70/night less than renting a toy hauler. The rooms were clean and big - nice to shower in a large bathroom after a day of riding. So here's a short list of:
Pros -
Great value for the money
Coupon book with 2for1 buffet, and $25 slots (which I won $120 - not bad!!)..
Clean rooms
Large bathrooms
Cons-
Bed is not as comfortable - better than a toy hauler but not as nice as say the Marriott
Casino has poor air circulation - but once in your room and floor - can't tell
Hit and Miss
Service - great a the cafe, poor at the cashier (need some happy pills for them!!)
Away from the Strip - Great for the family, but a bit of a trouble hauling the bikes in the back and parking

WIll DO IT AGAIN !!! for sure!!

Rooms are really nice, spacious, comfortable and perfecly clean. The hotel is full of fun ameneties for families with children (pool, bowling, movies, arcade). No complaints about the service. The hotel is several miles south of The Strip, but not a problem if you have a car. We actually kind of enjoyed getting away from the crowds of the Strip and back to the hotel. The TV was nice and the beds very comfortable. We paid $40 a night and it felt like a steal. Highly recommended if you don't mind being away from the Strip.

Best bargain ever for a very nice hotel. I only marked it down for location because unless you have a car, it's far from the action. But that's exactly why I stayed here. They finally finished the I-15 exit at Silverado Ranch Blvd so now's its convenient located too. I prefer my blackjack here. More of an older and local crowd. I've only eaten at the buffet at the hotel and it's average compared to other casinos, but then again dinner was only 16 bucks compared to the 23 at the Rio.

Stayed 2 nights with family. Long wait to check in. Though room was paid in advance, had to give credit card for $100 authorization (nothing charged to it on check out). Didn't like not knowing that. Did book great rate on room as got one night free. Had requested non-smoking room, got one, but clearly previous occupants had been smoking as room smelled terrible. Didn't want to have to wait down at desk again, so kept room and hoped the smell would diminish, (it did). Room was nice, clean, and had flat screen tv. Not crazy about walking through the casino every time to get to from rooms to main entrance, but guess can't complain since it is Las Vegas. Food at any of their restaurants (we did the buffet and cafe) was average. If you don't have a car, you can't get down to the main strip. Parking was simple and free. Nothing really around the hotel so having the bowling alley and movie theater in hotel was good (we used both). Pool area seemed a little on the small side and busy. There is an office to get tickets (some discounted) to other hotel shows. We used the office and it was helpful as we were a little disappointed in their show while there, Debbie Reynolds was the highlight (not exactly someone even close to current). Access to highway and back to airport was easy. Depends if I would recommend to friend based on what they are looking for.
