I had already had some to drink when we got here. We took a cab from the strip to the Palms and got there right before they were going to stop letting people in for the night. Im pretty sure it was free for girls, I cant remember if the guys paid. The view was awesome as you can see from my pictures, but the bar itself was a let down.. Maybe because we got there so late. We sat outside and just had a couple of drinks and then left. We have been to much more fun places in Vegas.

I went her with my sister and friend in Sept 2006.

The place is a good size with nice looking loungers.

The drinks are moderately priced $8 each (im from England, where drinks are more expensive)

I found the best part was outside, amazing views, places to sit, out door bar and the cool glass floor at the end where you can see 50 floors down.

Nice to see the Play Boy pads just across from you and the music is good, so if you want to escape that, sit out side where you can chill!

This is a very nice lounge for drinking and talking- on top of the Palms Hotel. They have great music that night, too- a lot of hiphop. My husband and I went on a Tuesday night and it was 10 dollars per person. There was no place to sit down inside unless you pay VIP. There is a smaller outdoor lounge area for non-VIP sitting. The drinks we got were about 10 dollars each.

We were dissapointed because there was no real dancefloor and people seemed to just stand around and talk.

We decided to rent a limo for a two hour tour of Vegas. Really, no Gilligans Island pun intended. That was a lot of fun, as a good driver like we had takes you to different locales and has connections to get you in to all the spots.

Our driver got us into the Ghost Bar at the Palms. After hearing so much about it, we were pretty excited. We got up to the floor, past all the people waiting and the bouncers, and found a long bar with some tables and a huge overhang with people crammed on it. It reminded me of fraternity parties in college where everyone is crammed together on a balcony. That was all there was to the bar. Admittedly, it was a very nice view overlooking the city and the lights, but it was NOT worth a long wait, nor the money spent to get there.
