Looking at these other reviews, I'm guessing that this bar was not their typical scene. However, if you're into good, strong drinks, awesome views of the strip and seeing beautiful people, this is the place to go. My buddy and I were greeted by the bouncers after we got off the elevator with genuine compliments on our clothes and a "good luck" to us both with the ladies. The service was great. Our ashtrays were constantly being replaced and the bar was never empty, though never packed to the point of inconvenience. We got there at 10:30 on a Saturday, left around 12:00am and came back around 3am. The place was jumpin the whole night. I would definitely recommend this as a chill place to dance a little bit, meet some people and share some conversation. I see this is a place to start and end the night at, but probably not spend more than a few hours here at a time.

And did I mention the view of the strip? Unparalleled.

My friends and I got placed on the guestlist by Mandalay Bay so we decided to go check it out since it was Friday night and we herd it was a hoppin place to be. We arrived at 9 p.m and there was a small line of just guys. We spoke to a very nice bouncer and was directed to the line for the elevator where we met another nice and respectful bouncer. We got on the elevator and rode up to the 55th floor and when we got there it was pretty much empty. Only a few people on the outside part. All the tables inside had reserved signs on them so we were forced to hang outside which wasn't so bad as the view is truly incredible. Drinks were around 10-12 bucks but it's Vegas and pretty much that price at all the hot spots. We grabbed a seat outside and chatted for a while, met some nice people and took in the view and weather(which was nice for June) and listened to todays top 20 rock-pop and pop-dance. About an hour after we got there it started getting cowded. It became full of trendy older folk(mid-life crisis guys) and the young blond girls they hit on, trendy annyoing twenty something guys and groups of girls wearing barely anything. It was full of superficial talk and bad psuedo dancing. After getting hit on by about 5 nasty older guys and a bunch of trendy [--], my guy friends were ready to kill people so we left. If your into that sort of superficial crap then you would like this place but my friends and I are not. We are bar/lounge type people and while the name is ghostbar, its more like a club then a bar. All in all, after seeing the view there is no reason to go back. If your like me and want NY type bar atmosphere then head over to 9 Fine Irishmen in NY, NY.Much more fun and lively and full of irish tunes and real people.

We went on Tuesday, which I thought would be a $10 entry,
but we were charged $20 each. We went early, at 8:30.
When we left at 9:30 there was a substantial line outside.
The view is outstanding, seeing the strip ablaze from Mandalay Bay up to the Venetian. The martinis were ok. I'd recommend only one drink here. If you've already seen Vegas at night from a high perch, then there's no reason to go here. There's no dancing. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Rio, and you
can cut thru the Gold Coast on the way if you want.

I don't think I have ever been to a place with a better night city view. The ticket is defintely the balcony, so get there early. The only downer was the rude bartender and generally snooty doormen which is pretty much no different from anywhere in Vegas. When we arrived, I went to the bar to order a couple of weak drinks, left a good tip, and as I'm walking off towards the balcony area the bartender said I could sit anywhere inside, but everything outside was reserved despite the fact there was only about six other people in the entire club- all on the balcony and not at tables. I told him we would just hang there until the "reservations" arrived and then walked off before he could say another something stupid. Over the several hours we were there, I don't think the balcony was ever filled up to capcity and no one had a table reserved. What a [--]. Go mid week and have a great time!

My hsuband and I were in Vegas over the fourth of July hoilday. we thought we would check out some of the bars and night club scences. We decided to go to the Ghost Bar on Fourth of July. We get there about one hour and a half after it opened and there was a line of about thirty-five people. We got in line and did not move for fourty-five minutes. I told my husband that I think they are waiting for people to leave to let other in. We waited a little longer as people in front of us were leaving. We turned around and the crowed that was behind us had all left there were only three people now standing behind us.
There were bouncers walking up and down the line and not one let us know what was going on, they just countined to waste everyones time. The only people that were getting in were VIP people. We decided to leave which wasted our night, it was now almost one in the morning and we did not want to go to another place to spend a 10.00-30.00 cover.
When I got back to the room I called to let the Manager know what was going on. I knew it was a pointless act but it was mostly for myself to vent. I told them they need to let people in line know what is going on so they can make a judgment call if they want to waste their time standing in what looks to be a short line. When I told the manager the situation he replied with appeasement just to get me off the phone. This place was such a waste of our night.
