We were married on August 25, 2007. We wanted the best for our 85+ guests so we chose the Bellagio Hotel for our weekend wedding celebration. We obtained great service from all departments except one…THE WEDDING CHAPELS OF BELLAGIO!
Our experience with the chapel was so horrific that it took all the beauty out of the process. They continuously made mistakes, confused things and when asked basic questions/opinions they did not have answers or know how to give direction. The chapel requires that you must use their vendors exclusively but if the chapel is not very qualified, then it is understandable that their vendors would follow suit.
1) Their tuxedo vendor, JennaLeigh’s, didn’t have any of the 7 tuxedos ready because they ordered them incorrectly. However, they wanted to charge extra to deliver them the next day. Also, their limo and store had no air conditioning and my father almost passed out given it was 104 outside. The Bellagio senior coordinator used a canned corporate response when we told her, “this is surprising, as we never had a complaint about them before.” 2) We paid for 2 videographers and only one showed up. 3) The coordinators said we could ship items to the Chapel but didn’t mention that the business center would charge us per box. 4) The chapel recommended that we take a group shot with our guests but instead of recommending an inside location in the hotel they put all of our guests on the Grand Patio in weather that was over 100 degrees! Our guests were sweating in their gowns and suits and very upset. 5) One of the groomsmen overheard the coordinator forcefully tell our flower girl that she must get rid of every last petal in the basket before she got to the end of the aisle. Our poor niece was so nervous that she threw all the petals at the groom’s feet for fear she may be in trouble. 6) And for the grand finale, we prepaid the chapel weeks in advance for a suite near the chapel so that all of the ladies could get ready. Well, we never got the suite they promised, instead all 8 of us had to pack up, stop our hair and makeup, get dressed, find all of our stuff and trek to the complete opposite side of the hotel one hour before the wedding was to begin. We saw the senior coordinator in the hallway and our frustration came out loudly as we were standing there hands full, sweating, makeup dripping and our dresses completely wrinkled again. The coordinators took no responsibility, offered no help and instead transferred blame on my future husband saying he moved us to the other side of the hotel! What kind of experienced wedding coordinator would instigate a potential argument an hour prior to a wedding!???!!!
If you are having a wedding at the Bellagio Chapel, remember it is a casino hotel and the same gambling rules apply….Good Luck!!!
