We recently flew to Vegas for a New Year's Eve ceremony. This was a second marriage for both of us. After dating for 7 years we just wanted something simple.
We stumbled upon Mon Bel Ami (next to Bingo's bail bonds and the tattoo parlor) after obtaining our marriage license just down the street. The chapel was cute and nicely decorated so we decided to have our ceremony there.
We opted for the cheapest package as it was just the two of us. The ceremony was nice, the minister was nice but a bit cheezy. The photographer took over a 120 pictures. Our package included 6 pictures of the 'ceremony only' which was not explained to us. We thought it was 6 pictures of all that were taken. It was amazing to us that the pictures of the ceremony were the worst possible pictures. The posed pictures were taken in an extremely rushed fashion and were not good.. He couldn't even get our names right. We knew that there was additional fees for the minister but we were shocked at the envelop handed to us for the photographer that had written on it at least $55. In this age of digital photos that require no touch up, we were shocked at the price of $600 for the pictures. We took our 6 free and handed back the tip envelop. $600 What a joke for 20 minutes of work and a cheap cd .A 12 year old kid with a polaroid camera could have taken better pictures. In fact, digital photography is so easy, a drunk girl at the hotel casino took the picture that we are using for our announcement.
