My husband and I ate at Isla while staying at TI on 12/10. The atmosphere was pretty casual and we saw many people wearing jeans and such. Children were also there when we were so I wouldn't necessarily rate this as a romantic dinner spot. The service was friendly, no problems with that. The chips were really good and the three sauces were also pretty delish. The salsa verde was my favorite. The highlight of my meal was the sweet roasted corn soup. It was absolutely fabulous. One of the other members of our party also got this and loved it as well. For my entree I got chicken enchiladas and these really didn't hit the spot for me. The rice was okay and the black beans were really good....were more pureed than regular black beans. I think the chicken was fine in the enchiladas but it was the sauce that disappointed me. Just not what I was expecting. It was more sweet than what I thought it would be. My husband got the carne asada burrito and it was huge and he liked it. This was probably our cheapest dinner in Vegas so at least it wasn't that expensive for a so-so meal. I just love Mexican food and expected so much more. To each his own, so just look over the menu and give it a try if you something that catches your eye. I say definitely try to the soup that I mentioned though b/c it was the highlight. I think our total bill with tip was between $50-60 so you can't really go wrong with trying it.
