By far, the best shopping I have ever done.

This was my second time in Vegas and second time to the outlets. I shopped here with a friend for 2.5 days and to be honest we could have done with another half a day!

Check out their website for the shops etc, the most important suggestions I can offer is that you register with them online before you go and print off the vouchers - both the coupon book and the online vouchers. Make sure you do it fairly close to going. I printed mine off 2 weeks before and one of my Tommy Hilfiger vouchers (for 35%) had already expired.

When you arrive at the Outlets go into the information centre and get your centre discount booklet (in addition to your online coupons), grab a map and get going!! If you don't have the vouchers buy the discount booklet (for I think $5) - there is a $10 oshkosh discount in there, so it more than pays for itself.

When you shop compare the storewide discounts with your vouchers - it may pay to use one, not the other. Also, some stores will honour your coupons on top of their discounts (eg. Reebok, White house/Black Market)

The possible savings are huge. For example in Wilson's Leather they had (already reasonably priced) handbags discounted 60-70% off, with another 25% off. So what is a girl to do, other than buy 7 of them!!

We also took a small suitcase with us which helped us carry home our purchases.

I think the outlets are open until 9pm. We encountered a 15-20 minute wait for the taxi each afternoon (at around 4.30pm) however the cabs come often and the line moves fairly quickly.

No photo's - who has time to take photo's when there are this many shops.

My sister and I spent a day at the Premium Outlets mall. It is a long bus ride from the south end of the strip (we started at the Luxor, so the ride would be much faster for those at the north end of the strip).

Like any outlet mall, this one was hit and miss. Some stores have amazing deals (like the shoes I got at the ECCO outlet that were less than half the price they were on Zappos), and some have average deals that you could find anywhere. Now that outlet malls are so prevalent, they are no longer automatically the source of great deals as they were 10 years ago. Still, they hold some appeal to those of us who don't have great shopping in our home town.

Stand-outs for us were the BCBG outlet, with racks of stuff marked down to $29 and $39, including dresses that retailed for $200-300 (and excellent service from the staff). And I have to mention the $125 shoes my sister got at BCBG for $9 (last pair)! WOW! The ECCO outlet was pricing stuff to move (friendly staff but not helpful at all). JCrew was unimpressive on prices, as were several other stores. The Coach store was super busy and seemed to have a lot of good sales, though I am not that familiar with the brand (we just went in to see what all the fuss was about).

There is a small food court with standard mall food--Panda Express, Subway, Starbucks, etc.

We went to Vegas in 5/07 and stumbled upon the outlets by chance. We spent a good 9 hours shopping, what a day! The Coach outlet is amazing, great deals but always busy and long lines. There are also stores within everyones price range. Bring good shoes because the mall is set up for walking with the anchors of the outlets (and often good stores) being on opposite ends. Good food court in the middle! Happy shopping!!

If you are staying in the downtown area, the outlets are a nice little shopping break. You can easily take cab to the outlets for around $5-6. They usually have cabs waiting so you can also catch a quick ride back.

The last time I went it was Dec. and it was quite chilly outside, you may want to pack a jacket if you go in the winter time since the walk area between all the stores is outdoor.

If you need a little energy booster from the shopping they have an indoor food court. If you need a fancier break, they also have a restaurant.

One of the best stores I found had everything priced at $5 or $10...pajama pants and coats and jackets....cheap cheap cheap...sure they weren't name brand..and super high quality but at that price you could buy a coat if you were cold and toss it afterwards..

We spent quite a few hours at this outlet and had to buy another suitcase to get our shopping home to Australia. Our dollar was very healthy so we shopped and shopped. Makeup and perfume is very good here, about half price to what you pay in Australia. The sporting outlets like Nike, Puma and Reebok sell t-shirts for around US$10 so I bought 10! Guess was also alot cheaper. There is a Disney store which I found more stuff to buy for kids than there was at Disneyland and much cheaper. We liked this outlet better than the Fashon Outlet Mall further out of Las Vegas. I only purchased goods from GAP at that one.
