My partner and I just returned from our second stay at Wynn Las Vegas, and we continue to be amazed! Having stayed at The Venetian on several occasions, we both agree this hotel is miles ahead of the rest of the luxury resorts on the Strip.
Our recommendation? Book a Tower Room in the Tower Suites for just a few bucks more than a stanard room, and you'll have access to the private VIP entrance to the hotel without paying the suite prices (there I go again giving away all my secrets!).
Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and ours overlooked the beautiful $500-a-round golf course. Room amenities include electric drapes, two plasma televisions (including one in the bathroom!), and supremely comfortable king-sized beds.
The hotel staff treated us like royalty, and the casino was exceptional in providing comps (free buffets, food and drinks) for even us nickel and penny slot players. Slots paid better than most strip hotel casinos for the second year in a row.
Be sure to try the Wynn's apple martini in the Parasol bars, a unique recipe that's as smooth as silk!
Wynn Las Vegas boasts some of the most impressive restaurants in the city, but you'll pay for the pleasure. For the most part, we ate at the delicious buffet (on the house!) and at Red 8, a mid-priced Asian-food restaurant that's quite outstanding as well.
Be sure to rent a car while you're here -- the Wynn is not mid-strip --so you'll want to get out and see everything.Or, if you're so inclined, you can always buy a Ferrari from the Ferrari/Lamborghini dealership at the hotel!
In summary, you'll feel like a WINNER at the Wynn--even if you're not! ;-)
