I agree with a prior review that the Wynn isn't particularly kid-friendly and I'm Glad! We recently returned from Vegas and stayed at Paris (we were comped). However, we visited the Wynn twice and Loved It! It seems so "adult": serene, classy and tranquil. Paris, on the other hand, was kid central. To the point of annoying. Running through the hotel, running through the casino... We love kids but why in the world vacation with little kids in Vegas??? It is so not a kid-vacation spot. Happy to know that our impressions of the Wynn not being kid-friendly are correct. We'll stay there next time!

We stayed at :"The Wynn" over Thanksgiving 2006 and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are really large and the beds are "to die for". I have three herniated discs in my back and this bed was wonderful. The bathrooms are huge and it was wonderful coming back to our room at the end of the day. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything is more "expensive" but worth every dime. We didn't do very much gambling at the Wynn but, as a whole, the hotel is five stars in every way.

My wife and I stayed at the Wynn over New Year's Eve and it was a fantastic experience. We have visited Vegas twice a year for the past 9 years. We have stayed at the Venetian the plast 5 years and prior to that at the Bellagio, both are very nice properties. However, the overall quality at the Wynn is a cut above. We have been fortunate to travel all over the world and the service and the food at the Wynn was the best we have ever experienced. The property itself is beautiful and the food served at the restaurants is outstanding. However, what distinguishes Wynn from the others is the quality of its service. Every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful. It was also quite noticeable how loyal the employees at the Wynn are to their employer. They really enjoyed working there. Many of the current employees are former employees of Steve Wynn who left their jobs, to come work at the Wynn once it opened. I work with a lot of companies in my job and I have not seen employees so dedicated to their employer and to customer service. I give the Wynn Hotel my highest recommendation.

  • Liked — the quality of the hotel itself, especially the decor, the room, the food, and the service
  • Disliked — I lost money in the casino but was not the fault of the casino
  • Tips/Secrets: — Stay at the Wynn, Mandalay Bay, the Venetian and the Bellagio...you will return to the Wynn

I was sent an offer for 119 a nite with a 100.00 credit offer for slots. Glad I tried it except for the fact that now girlfriend wants to stay there all the time. I had previously signed up for their card and believe me I am not a big gambler ( not sure if i'm even considered a small gambler) and got the offer anyway. Hope they send another offer as its the only way I can justify staying there again due to regular room rates. The room was great and g/f loved the bathroom. Had a view of strip and the waterfall. Would stay there anytime I could if more affordable.

The Wynn is an absolutely stunning hotel in every way - the lobby, the restaurants, the pool, the service, and the rooms, but you'll pay for it. And pay for it and pay for it.

We just returned from a New Years Eve weekend at the Wynn. We were really amazed at the intricate detail and beauty of the Wynn, inside and out. There isn't one speck of trash or dirt anywhere - there are hudreds of employees everywhere you look, and they are all very nice and attentive to any needs. The casino is nice, but smaller than you would think, and higher minimums than other casinos. The rooms (we stayed in a regular room) are very nicely designed, with a large marble bathroom, separate glass shower and oversized tub, two plasma tvs, awesome views (we overlooked the pool and golf course, can't imagine what the strip must have looked like) comfortable bed and sitting area/work desk. You can tell they really thought out the design to the smallest detail.

But, the prices! Oy vey! Everyone knows they jack up prices on New Years Eve, but some of the charges were borderline offensive. On New Years Eve early evening, they wanted $20 per person just to sit in the lobby bar for an hour, even though we were guests paying $899 for our room that night. (We declined.) We decided to "buy" a table at the nightclub Tryst for NYE (of course that price did not include the European bottle service, taxes, 30% autmatic gratuities or other charges) and let's just say we had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I am embarrassed to tell you the bill.

Regular charges are somewhat obscene as well. It's $30/day for the fitness center, $12.99 a day for internet access, $60 per person for the buffet, $8 for a cup of tea for room service, $12 for a cocktail, etc. etc. After awhile, I kind of felt like they always had their hands in my pocket and just were ripping us off because they could. (Add to the fact that the minimum for craps was $30 most nights and you'll get the idea.)

I would definitely stay at the Wynn again, the room was wonderful and the casino is stunning and it's a good location. But, if you're on a budget, stay away, and definitely don't go New Years Eve!
