Firsy off I didnt stay at the Wynn and I'm glad I didnt. I was going to book one of the private suites on the golf coarse for $1500 per night. I instead stayed at the mgm in a sky loft for $1850 per night. My wife and I always spend big money when we go on vacation because we like nice suites. We disliked the pompas attitude that the wynn gives off from the dealers on up. I had to controll myself from laughing in the face of the guy who opens your cab door on the way out because he was offended I didnt like it and compared it to the Borgata in AC. I respect everyone who works and I believe no job is unimportant. I couldnt tell the difference from the way my mercedes dealer salesman dresses and the taxi cab valet guy dresses. The guys attitude matched his attire. I'm a regular person who likes to deal with regular people. A guy had a straight flush in 3 card poker at our table and not only was the pit boss less than thrilled so was the DEALER. The guy won $2200 and when the pit boss took 5 minutes to figure it out the guy said its $2200 and she snapped back I HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT NOT YOU. The guy didnt tip and I was glad. The dealer was just as bad. I am a very big tipper and always feel you should tip but this was one of those rare cases. The tables were empty and all of the dealers stood there looking like robots. I asked a dealer where to cash in and she said look for a cashier sign. I just let it pass because if we didnt leave at that point I would of exploded on her or the next snooty person. We cashed in 2 hands after that guy won the money because I had enough of that hotel. I was at this hotel for 30 minutes and it was 29 minutes too long. The 1 minute that was good was the minute I thanked god I didnt spend $1500 per night to stay there. The hotel looks nice the loby or entrabce area was very nice. I just think he should of spent 500 million less so you could see the beauty more. The hotel is cluttered and looks like a picture collage ( probably didnt spell that right LOL ). wynn has changed a whole lot since the Mirage. I like the simple beauty and not overkill. I havent been to the Belagio but thats only because my friends who love it are very stuffy people and I am taking there word for it that its not a place for me LOL. I will give the dealers a small break on this point. The next day On the news the dealers at the wynn were protesting because wynn wanted them to kick back 20 0r 30 % of there tips to the company to be shared. I cut them a small break but I also read on this site that the dealers always had attitude problems. Good luck on your trip.

My family and I stayed in a standard golf course view resort room and we were VERY pleased. It was beautiful and very spacious (hint to management...you have plenty of room to make those double beds ...which are indeed the best beds ever... queen sized and the fact that you didn't made me lower the Wynn's rating by one star...that and the price of rooms which I think is a bit high even for the quality of the room. The buffet was scrumptious at both breakfast and dinner and was free due to our using the red card when we gambled. Nice little perk especially when you have teenagers to feed! The casino is nice, not too smoky and has loads of the machines you want to play, they should offer more reasonably priced black jack tables though! All in all the Wynn is a wonderful place to stay and yes, should I go back i would love to stay here again.

From extra room charges and the absence of child pricing to the asinine and zealously enforced NO STROLLER policy (even in the shops), Wynn is making it clear that children (toddlers, infants, and teenagers) and families (that includes YOU, Mom and Dad) are not welcome. Kindly take your business elsewhere.

This was my third time staying at the Wynn (second for my wife). We went last year for the same period between Christmas and New Years. Last year my wife was not all that impressed with Las Vegas and the Wynn specifically (until we stopped in at Circus Circus and she realized how nice the Wynn actually was), but once we left she kept saying how much fun she had in Las Vegas and that she liked the Wynn and how sumptuous it was, so I decided to take her back again.

We had booked a panoramic view room asking fro as high up as possible on the strip side of the Hotel. We arrived about 2:30, and they only had a room on the 30 something floor (Check in time is 3:00). We said we would be back after getting some lunch. We had already planned on this and went down to Margaritaville for lunch (We had a blast last year and wanted to repeat the time again). After lunch we staggered back to the Wynn and waited about 5 minutes on line to check in. The reception person, Michael, was a pleasure to deal with. We again asked for a room up as high as possible and he eventually called someone to inquire about a room that had a hold on it on the 56th floor. Minutes later we were on the way to the 56th floor. The view is absolutely amazing! The room was impeccable (although my wife did find a jelly bean under the bed when we were checking out. She always checks under the bed to make sure we have not left anything behind).

We had a great time for the two days. The property is beautiful and everyone is helpful. Yes the prices are high for the food and water, what do you expect. We saw Le Reve, which can only be described as stunning. The technical master that is used in the production leaves you breathless, especially when one of the performers falls at least 100 feet into the pool. WOW! After the show we ate at Okada, and as before the service and food were impeccable. We made a reservation for 9:30, arriving about 10 minutes early, we were seated quickly, and the waiter was attentive and full of assistance. After dinner we went to Tryst, the nightclub at the Wynn. The cover charge is $20.00 and they have them lining up to get in. As hotel guests, we did not have to stand on line. The place fills up very quickly. The music was ok at first, and then they started to play all hip-hop and rap, which is not our cup of tea, so we left. After being there about 60 minutes, the place was packed, and there were more people waiting outside to get in then were in the place.

Our last day there we went to the Buffet for breakfast. Since it is a holiday week they have a Holiday Brunch that is $32.95 without Champagne or Bloody Mary ($6 more for the drinks). A little high considering the regular price is about $18.00, but I was looking forward to eating there again. It was still worth it.

We even broke even at the slot machines. This was helped by the fact that I received a $100 credit from the special offer they sent me. Even as we were leaving we started talking about when we should go back.

We travel to Las Vegas several times a year and we've sampled most of the hotels there. The Wynn has become my favorite place to stay. Here are the reasons why:
1) Extremely comfortable room. Large, contemporary style "resort room" made our stay comfy. The beds were wonderful as were the duvet and sheets. Extra large bathroom with double sink, oversized tub and small, flat screen TV were nice amenities.
2) Manageable sized casino. It felt like I knew my way around in a day or so, something that usually doesn't happen in Vegas.
3) We booked with American Express Fine Hotel & Resorts which gave us great amenities, including $40 per couple credits for breakfast, $80 per couple lunch credit as well as an upgrade and guaranteed 4 pm checkout.
4) Friendly, pleasant staff (not always the case in Las Vegas).
5) Over the top shopping ( fun to look at and dream)
6) We had a real "non smoking" room, not one that had been recently sprayed with Glade. It did take us a few room changes to find it, though. But management was definitely helpful in accommodating our needs.
7) We accidently left a sports jacket in the closet. After landing at LAX, we phoned housekeeping and were told that the jacket had been found and that it would be sent out immediately. It arrived via UPS in 2 days, even with the Xmas rush.

Things to be Improved Upon:
1) We didn't like the "don't touch or you'll be charged" mini bar.
2) No need to pay the extra amount for the "resort suites". Basically they're the same room in another "private" wing. This allows you to be at a more private pool with a private check in area. This is totally unecessary in the winter months, although it might be worth it in pool weather.
3) Ridiculously high prices. $10 for two cups of coffee in the coffee bar area. Hey, but this is Vegas. We loved Daniel Bouloud and it was worth the "splurge"...probably no more expensive than any fine restaurant in LA or NYC.
