Breakfast for two was $25.84. There were no luxury items such as lox, but a good selection of standard breakfast dishes. An unusually good item was a fig-filled pastry bar, like a Fig Newton but much better tasting. It was so good that I wish I could have bought a box of them! The mini doughnuts were delicious, and the perfect size to sample more than one. Service was good, and seating was comfortable. This was a nice average buffet, a fair value for the price.
We ate here on a Wednesday night. The food was bland and unexciting. We each filled one plate, ate that and left, which is pretty unusual when dining at an all you can eat buttet! My husband had the prime rib and he said it had little or no taste. While walking around filling our plates, we noticed food that looked old and dried out. Hopefully this was just a bad night for them but we have no desire to go back and try again. If you want a good buffet, go to the Rio!
We ate here on our 3rd night in Vegas (we were staying in the Excalibur), and my girlfriend got really bad food poisoning. Was either due to the fish or mexican food as they were the only things she had that i didn't.
No cash back, no real apology, and just a 'You can eat here free tomorrow'. The restaurant manager didn't seem to understand she was lying in our hotel room throwing up into a bin!
Just a warning for those going to the Vegas buffets, be careful!
Stayed at the Luxor April 20th 2006 to April 26th 2006. It is our 2nd time staying at the Luxor and we ate one dinner there on our 1st night. Food is about average. Selections include Pizza, Mexican, Italian and a carvery. The salad bar has many selections but the dessert section is one of the smallest and least varied of the hotels that we dined in. Had to gain the attention of the surly table staff to clear our table between visits to the buffet as I dislike having to make room to pile up plates at the corner of the table. For the remainder of our stay, we shelled out the few extra dollars and ate at the Paris, Aladin, MGM and Rio which were superior in service and selection.
