We dined at Jasmine's on 1-12-2009 at 21:45. We know we were late, seated at 9:45pm (we are late diners and restaurant owners) asked if you were still serving. Told yes, not a problem by the hostess. We sat and was immediately greeted by our server David. He informed us that we had to order quickly since the kitchen closes at 10pm. We placed our cocktail order and said we needed more time to look at the menu. An additional table of 4 and 6 were seated after us! Before our drinks came out, he came back and said that the kitchen closes at 10 and needed to order. We ordered appt. Eggroll and when we get our drinks, we'll order dinner. We quickly decided and orders the Walnut Pawns, Soya Chilean Seabass and Veg. Rice (see PS). Our apts came out and then dinner. He proceeded to tell us that the kitchen closes at 10pm? Guess we needed to eat by 10pm also?????? He went to the next table and told the couple that they needed to order their dessert, since the Pastry Chef was leaving. Hearing this, we really felt, that we should have never been seated. He went to them 3 times, while we were eating. We sat at table 56. He came over to us and asked us, we were done, if we wanted anything else. Typically we are not dessert eaters, but hearing this we were SO TURNED OFF. Had we only know that we would be rushed, would have done a cheap buffet.
Feeling so rushed and the fact that the server would come up multiply times to tell us the kitchen was closing was in POOR TASTE. We left a POOR TIP of 13% which was GIFT. I did write on the bottom of the credit card receipt, I clearly wrote my unhappiness with the poor judgement. David , probably thought I was a CHEAP TIPPER. I should have said something to the manager, but did not, since we elected not to visit the casino for the rest of the trip. Thought you should know.
PS....Now I am being cheap!
$18.88 for Veg Rice is crazy (cold rice and some veggies) far from exceptional like we've experienced in the past from your restaurants.

We chose Jasmine after a week of Steaks/lobsters and we fancied a change. We were staying at the Paris but nothing appealed.

We had not booked (it was a thursday night) and only waited 5 minutes for a table to be prepared. We had a table which had a good view of the fountains. This view is what made this meal a memorable experience.

We did not have starters. We chose a rice dish, a prawn dish and the general chicken. All of which were nicely presented and tasted great. We thought the portions were just right- we were left nicely stuffed. We also had 2 cocktails each. We shared a dessert which was a selection of three desserts. The bill was acceptable for what we ate and where we ate it.

The service was attentive and good. All staff were very friendly.

The food was lovely but it is apparent that the prices are because you are paying for the view. In my opinion it is not worth dining here unless you have a good view of the fountains. I could see how the costs could easily mount up at Jasmine and I think if you are a big group or looking for a three course fine dining experience with drinks you can get better value for money at a number of other restaurants instead. We enjoyed our meal here but given how many restaurants i still have to try in las vegas I don't think i would be rushing to return.

My friend and I had gone to Vegas for 4 days, 3 nights and had eaten everywhere from the buffets to Bobby Flays. Our last night in town, we booked the Jasmine for dinner. This would be an excellent place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. Since it was just 2 friends on a trip, we felt pampered beyond belief. Our assistant waiter was an older man who seemed to be there every time our water glasses went below half-full. He was so accomodating! Anyway, we each got different soups (my friend's clam soup came out in a coconut!) and different beverages. They even made me my favorite "oriental food" cocktail - a scorpion - even though it was not on the menu (quite different from my Bobby Flay experience - see that review). My friend ordered the Chilean sea bass which she said was to die for (I don't eat seafood). I had the General's Chicken which I love because it is spicy and sweet. We split a plate of chicken friend rice. This was the best rice I have ever tasted - even the vegetables, eggs, and chicked pieces were diced to perfection. Didn't want to waste it so asked for a box which they prepared with individual containers, picnic style with napkins, utensils, wet cloth and in a box with a handle. The fact that this restaurant overlooked the lake was a bonus. Every 15 minutes there was a water show with lights. You could hear the music in the restaurant. What a special night. It was expensive. My dinner and drink with tax and tip was around $80, but unlike Bobby Flay's restaurant, I felt like I had been treated like royalty. So while it is not something I could afford to do every week, it was definitely worth it for a special occasion. I will come again.

It was $1,600 for a party of 9. I still can't believe they bill us nearly $96 in soft drink REFILLS. Apparently $4.50 for a coke is only for ONE. Each refills were at $4.50. The staff was incredibly slow and they seem to have an attitude problem. I highly respect Bellagio for its class but I can't understand for the life of me how this restaurant was able to get a contract in this hotel. Food was subpar, you can probably do better at Panda Express.

The reception at the restaurant was very elegant. But the staffs are not very pleasant and friendly. A huge round table was reserved us. Very nicely decorated. Food was standard on paper and you would not be entertained for any special requests. Quite unreasonable for a fine dinning restaurant at a five-star hotel! No one was interested to recommend us desserts after our meal. I am disappointed and so were my friends too!
