We went here for a quick bite to eat when we landed last week from the uk.

It is good. there are no nasty surprises and the portions are massive.

being english i was a bit miffed to have burger served with crisps and not chips in the english sense.

Service was very quick and efficient.

My wife and kids have been to the Rainforest Cafe in Overland Park, KS, and they loved it, so I figured I'd give this place a try since it was near the sports book and I was hungry.

The food wasn't too bad. I had the quesadilla for an appetizer, and it was pretty good. They put it on pita bread instead of on tortillas, which I quite enjoyed. Even better, I had picked up a coupon for a free appetizer with an entree purchase. For my main dish, I had the sampler plate that came with ribs, chicken, and shrimp. It also came with fries and vegetables. I'll have to say that there was a lot of food on that plate, but some of it was just so-so. The ribs were nice and meaty, but they didn't have any smoky flavor to them. The shrimp skewers were tasty, but I didn't like the Tuscan chicken all that much. The fries were about what you'd expect from a casual dining place.

I only had water to drink, and the appetizer was free, but I still spent over $29 (before tip), so it definitely isn't the cheapest place to eat. The same entree at the one in Kansas would have been only $4 less, so I guess that's not too steep of a premium for the Las Vegas Strip.

The service I got was pretty good, but it was about 3 in the afternoon, which is an odd time for eating a meal, so there weren't many people there to serve. I was also seated at the bar, so there is always someone right there.

If you have kids with you in Las Vegas (which I would NEVER recommend, by the way), it might be worth stopping if money is no object. However, I would probably take another option if it's a group of adults.

have been to the rainforest cafe in anaheim and enjoyed it, but this time was decidedly different and a LOT more expensive than i remember it being. service seemed to take a long time though there weren't many people in there. my coffee was $3 as was my boyfriends soda. our group of 4 decided to have mimosas during my birthday breakfast. they were pretty small, and when we got the bill we discovered that they were $9 each. my breakfast of home fried potatos, eggs and bacon literally had about a quarter cup of potatos and peppers, and two skimpy pieces of bacon. our total was $140 for the 4 of us. i was stunned when we got the bill and saw how much drinks were. the fake animals and thunderstorms are NOT worth that much money.

Our kids were clearly impressed by the jungle decor and the fake animals. Breakfast was nothing special and price was quite high but it was fun.
