First and foremost, I must admit that I am a HUGE Cher fan and have been for years now. I've seen her Farewell Tour five times and knew that I had to travel to Sin City to see her aptly titled show, "Cher At The Colosseum".

I may be a little biased, but I had a wonderful time. For those who have seen her while she was on her three-year Farewell Tour, it is not the same at all.

During her 90 minute show, Cher dazzles the crowd with many of her big hits and also mixes it up with a few covers, my favourite being a cover of Pat Benatar's hit, "Love Is A Battlefield". Cher has such a strong and determined voice, it suits the song perfectly!

Being a Cher show, you can expect many costume changes and acts including dancers and aerialists. This show also includes many video segments, to the point where it can get a bit annoying. Of the hour and half that the show runs, Cher is probably on stage half, if not less, than that.

If you've seen her Farewell Tour, you'll probably enjoy that memory more than this one. Cher has removed many of her hits from this show, "All or Nothing", "Song For The Lonely", "The Shoop Shoop Song" and "The Way of Love". It's quite sad to see many of her great songs removed, but Caesar's strictly enforces a policy which allows for shows to run no more than an hour and a half.

I attended this show three times while I was in Vegas. For two nights, I had the "cheap seats", 2nd Mezzanine. They are MUCH cheaper ($90) than the Front Orchestra seats and offer a great perspective of the WHOLE show. When sitting in the Front Orchestra seats ($250), you are limited in view by what is in-front of you.

I was fortunate enough to get a seat in FIRST ROW for one of the show's. Great experience, so close to Cher you could hear her bead's jingle! When I go next time I will continue my policy of a night in the Mezz and a night in the Orchestra. This allows for you to have two awesome yet completely different views of the show.

A small note: throughout Cher's stay at the Colosseum, many have noted that Cher does not look interested or energized during her show. Las Vegas crowd's are a bummer. Cher feeds off of her audience's energy. If you do see this show, DO get involved, do NOT feel afraid or out of place to stand up and applaud. The more you give, the more Cher will.

The Colosseum is a beautifully designed theatre. We went to see Cher, my son is a big fan. We went on August 6, we bought $127.27 tickets and we had very good seats. Cher's show was great, but she had the "Vegas" throat when we went which was a bit of a let down. But it still was a fantastic expierence. After the my husband and i went to the Cher store and my son just ran right in there and grabbed alot of Cher merchandise and then a spooted a singed limited edition Cher poster he dropped everything and went over to it and stood in awe, then he turned to me and said give me my money please, i handed him his wallet, how much was it i asked, $227 he said, i was about to say to him no, but its his money and Cher is one of his idols, so i let him carry on, it is now framed with the certificate next to it. This year we are going to see Bette Midler, other one of my son's idols.

My husband & I were "REFUSED ADMITTANCE" to the Bette Midler show-$593 Front Orchestra tickets.

As I waited at the end of one of the long entry line my husband puchased a $24! drink at a nearby Caesars bar to take into the show. We had previously taken drinks into both the Jersey Boys & Jay Leno the prevous night! As we finally entered (one of the last couples in) we were met with a metal detector, guards who asked to be allowed to look in my purse and told that no drinks were allowed in...a very different vibe here than other shows & when I protested that we had bought the drink at Caesars - they countered that The Colosseum was not part of Caesars - like we would know!

The staff attitude was scornful and on impulse, I took the "illegal" drink & poured it on the floor....UH OH...BAD MOVE...BAD BEHAVIOR ON MY PART (just so you know, I did not splatter anyone-we were at the end of the line), but I WAS WRONG! I admit I just got steamed...it was not the enjoyable introduction I expected to a show I had been looking forward to for months.

Anyway, two large security men approached & without asking what happed told my husband & me that we would not be allowed to see the show & escorted us out of the Collosseum! I was not belligerent and expressed shock at the harsh attitude. I immediately apologized to the Security and admitted I had made a bad mistake. I asked if I could apologize to the door staff but the two security men very arrogantly lectured me that this would teach me a lesson in anger management. I pleaded that we had come a long way & the tickets were very expensive & that we were not rich, but that it was my husband's anniversary gift to bring me to see Bette Midler.

We never raised our voices or were rude, and we even asked to speak with their supervisor. However the Security supervisor refused to speak to us when he arrived and would not listen to our side of the story or to our apology - he turned his back and walked away from us with the other two men. We were left standing outside with expensive tickets in hand and a shocked feeling that the "spilled drink" offense did not warrant the harshness or severity of the punishment. All I can say is The high and mighty tactics of The Colloseum Security men is bad business for Caesars Palace and Bette Midler.

We loved the show!!
Videos may really not be appropriate for kids, but this is clearly noted on Harrah's web page.

I am surprised that no one has reviewed this show.

Disappointed is the verdict of this show. Surprised that alcohol is allowed in the theatre. There was a row of young chaps who were rowdy and although the staff tried to quieten them they should have been taken out.

The show content was lavish and the costumes Cher wore were wonderful and her voice and talent as a performer is without question BUT after each song she left the stage and we had to watch acrobats or scenes from her films.

At the end we were encouraged to stand and clap and Cher returned for one last song and then exited the stage and that was it. The show lasted exactly 1 and a half hours and as I said much of that time she was not on the stage.

Cher just didn't give of herself even though she had lots of encouragement from the audience.

Usually when people leave the theatre there is lots of laughter and chit chat as people have enjoyed themselves and they chat about what they have experienced but not this night. Silence as people left the theatre. This took an age as everyone had to leave via the same exit. Thank goodness there wasn't an emergency.

We were bitterly disapponted and after that experience decided we wouldn't see another show as this had cost us £100 each and we didn't want to chance another failure.

Sorry to give a negative review. I hope it was only this night but one that will stay in our memories as a waste of money.

The positives were that we had eaten beforehand at the Mesa Grill and that was amazing plus a thank you to the lovely cocktail waitress who had mixed us a surprise drink at one of CP bars.
