I would not call Cirque du Soleil's O a show but rather, an experience. A truly magnificent one at that. I got tickets 25% off on the Bellagio site and managed to get 2 tickets near the middle in the third row for $128 each! On a budget, I wasn't planning on attending this show, but friends and relatives were telling me that it was a must see. So, since I was able to get such great tickets at that price, I figured why not.

I am extremely happy that I chose to go. It was an unbelievable experience. The show is so dark, abstract, and beautiful. There are so many animalistic sights and scenes that make you feel as if you're watching something almost alien. The music is magnificent, the lighting is perfect, costumes amazing, everything was just great. And you truly leave the show feeling mesmerized by the sheer beauty and excellence of what you have just witnessed.

I'm not going to try and describe the show or any of the scenes, because words cannot do it justice. It must be viewed first hand to understand how amazing this show is. All I can say is that the huge pool of water changes with platforms rising up and down, plenty of synchronized swimming and dives and tricks. Different scenes all have such different feelings with characters moving all throughout the stage, be it in front of the pool, in the pool, platforms on the pool, behind the pool or through the air. Sometimes you just don't know what to look at and just stare in awe of it all. If I have one show to suggest anyone to see in Vegas, it is Cirque du Soleil's O.

This show is amazing. The cast really puts on quite a show. Diving from the ceiling, trapeze, acrobatics. Amazing. The retractable stage turning into a pool. Wow. There is so much going on at once, you can't take it all in. As far as the story goes, don't try to follow it. Just watch what is going on.

This was my second Cirque du Soleil show. The first, Mystere, was at a local arena in my hometown and was phenomenal for “back home”. “O” however, was jaw dropping!!! It is amazing the difference a permanent stage/venue makes for a show of this magnitude. We were lucky enough to acquire 5th row tickets!!! We could see the drops of water on the performers’ faces as they emerged out of the unbelievable retracting floor/pool. I would say that this show is for everybody. The show is complimented by a beautifully composed orchestra performance. You can look to the upper left of the stage and actually see the performers with their instruments behind a dark, back-lit screen of sorts. If you look to the upper right of the stage, you can see the singers. Acrobatics, synchronized swimming, diving, dancing and comedy all make up the show. The costuming was vibrant and unique. I am still amazed at some of the dives that were made from ~50 feet above the stage/pool. I do have to read how they created and operate that stage because I am just in awe. A few words to the wise: bring a sweater. I don’t know if it was the size of the venue or the distance we were to the water on stage, but it was a tad bit chilly. Also, it looked as if the people in rows 1-3 were getting splashed a little bit. We didn’t catch any water in the 5th row, but those who sprung for 1st row seats were wiping their brows!! I would love to see this show for a second time, maybe even third or fourth!!! There is just so much going on all over the stage and any given moment, I’m sure if I saw the show again it would be a whole new experience! A+++

resist the urge to buy tickets to this show,It is not even close to being worth the price. Now I'll give credit where credit is due, the first act is wonderful. A trapese act high above the water with two ladies doing the most amazing leaps and catches. and under them are sync. swimmers that must hold their breath for over two minutes, very impressive!
however there are parts of this show that made me want to chew my arm off rather than stay and watch it. The only reason I stayed was in hope that it would get better, it did not!
right off the bat the preshow is warning of what is to come. they send out twoclowns that are the worst clowns Ive ever seen. Aren't clowns supposed to be funny? the whole time that they were bumbling up and down the isles dragging an oversized innertube the crowd was silent. and then they pull a guy out of the audience that is clearly with the show and have him read the rules to you (ie-no smoking, turn cell phones off) in his meek oh my god i'm on stage voice, and then tie him up and have him shot up to the ceiling, via cables and pullys. after the first act the clowns come on again- this time they are on top of a house that is sinking. The act consists of one clown hitting hisself on the head with a sledge hammer and another that comes out of the can with his pants around his feet, tripping all over the place. any way the clowns are on for a good ten minutes (felt like an hour) and then after the next they are back again for another act. unfortunatly this show falls short which is really a shame as I wanted to love it so much.

The show was very good. However, due to the fact that I was completely exhausted from the day and the day before I was falling asleep in the show. I think we went to the 10:30pm show. Overall though it was good. But I actually heard Mystere is better.
