I made reservations for June 26th and June 27th for me, my sister and my two nieces, ages 15 and 11. We received the check in information via email and I was careful to keep it as it was clear that we would need a code to enter the gated community and a separate combination to open the lockbox. We arrived about 10pm, after a long and stressful drive from LA. The code worked fine to open the gate, but when we arrived at the unit with all of our bags, there was no faceplate on the lockbox and no key. I called both of the emergency numbers and had to leave messages as no one answered. I got a call back and explained the situation. The caller promised to try to find someone to come and let us in and said she would call right back. After more than 15 minutes passed, we had heard nothing. I called both emergency numbers again and left another message. She called back and said she hadn't been able to find anyone and that there were no other units available. Therefore, her only solution was to connect me with Expedia so that I could work it out myself with Expedia. In the end, Expedia did not offer any suitable substitutions, but offered to refund my money if I wanted to find something myself. I accepted that offer and set out at 1130pm to find a room for the night. I was able to find a very acceptable 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn. Just terrible service from Sonoran. Interestingly, I tried to leave feedback at Expedia, but apparently since we never actually were able to use the room, I don't have access to register comments! Please note that to leave this review, I had to assign a rating to cleanliness, service, location, value and rooms, but I never got to see the unit!
