Didn't stay at the Hard Rock, but the 777 steak and shrimp at Lucky's (for $7.77) brought us into the casino. It is a long walk from the strip (over a mile?), but their shuttle will pick you up in the alley just North of the MGM Grand and take you there. Once there, you will enjoy the casino (as long as you like loud rock music). Also, get a player's club card and earn 100 points (very fast and easy to do) and you will get a $50 gift certificate to their Italian restaurant Ago. My husband and I each earned one and ate a $100 meal free. Fun, free, who could ask for more?

I was an intern in Las Vegas for the summer of 2007 and was very lucky to have Sundays off. The Hard Rock Casino hosts the best pool party in Las Vegas. I never had so much fun at a pool party in my life- unbelievable women, great music, strong drinks, and plenty of room for everyone. I've been to some wild and crazy pool parties on spring break, but Las Vegas is still hard to beat because of the Hard Rock Casino and its 'Rehab' pool party. I am heading back this weekend for round 2!! Hopefully i'll see some of you out there, I can't wait!

We stayed in the Hard Rock Hotel over the 4th of July week. First of all, when we checked in, we had a case of beer and a disposable cooler, which the desk staff could NOT have missed. They did not say a word. As we walked down the hall we were stopped by a beefy guard telling us we could not bring beer into our OWN ROOM. What is that all about?
Then, as we went to use the pool, only one of the pools were opened, therefore no chairs left. On top of being frisked on the way in, and told we could not bring a bottle of water in our bag (they "sell water there") - we had to wait 20 mins for chairs. Not to mention the $22 red bull/vodka! $22!!! Maybe I'm being cheap but that was the icing on the cake.
Before I thought it could get any worse, when we checked out on the TV, we saw that we were charged $57 for the mini bar. We never took anything, but turns out there are sensors on the mini bar and if you have something for 10 secs or less, you are charged. We called the mini bar people to come up and credit our account b/c we were unaware. They happily obliged....then I just checked my credit card statement and they CHARGED US!!
HARD ROCK HOTEL CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot rave enough about the great time I had at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino. I am a very novice gambler. I used to only stick to the slots, but my husband is coaxing me into playing Craps. We went to the craps table early on a Tuesday so I could get a feel for it. We stood back and watched for a little while. My husband jumpeind and played. Unfortunately the table was cold at the time. I was still very nervous about actually getting in the and playing. The dealers (and even the other patrons at the table) started helping me and explaining the game to me a little more. Everyone was so nice and so helpful that I finally felt comfortable enough to actually play. I didn't win anything, but I had a great time and am dying to go back tonight and try my luck again!
