Hotel room in line with $69 pricing; friendly, efficient housekeeper; efficient, helpful front desk personnel; dealers at table games mostly good... HOWEVER, playing at a craps table one night, a pit boss was extremely loud and rude to a shooter. The shooter remained calm and mature and complied with the instructions by the pit boss on the throwing of the dice. But at the end of the fantastic roll, the pit boss continued loud admonishment of the shooter and banned the guest from shooting the dice again. Another pit boss then literally threw the shooter’s player card toward him onto the table. A "big boss" was in the pit and said nothing to the employees about their unprofessional actions. One young lady even told the pit boss this was her first time at craps and that when she threw the dice please don’t yell at her like that. The inappropriate communication behavior by the pit boss drove some of us committed craps players away. We found $3 craps tables downtown with especially great people and service at Binion's - they were polite, customer caring, friendly - even when directing guests on rules of dice throwing. We played over 40 hours of craps at Binion’s with excellent service, fun atmosphere and even some winnings. One Casino Royale dealer told me that management kept up with table games' profits and losses throughout the day and night and pressured pit bosses when tables were losing to the house. Maybe that pit boss was trying to interrupt the shooter's great run at that moment - the shooter still made all of us a lot of money quickly. No more Casino Royale for us.

Right in the heart of the strip. Casino downstairs, steakhouse upstairs, what more could you want? Great free parking! Why stay at one of the high priced hotels? Everything was clean and working as expected! Staff very freindly.

It isn't the most luxurious hotel on the strip but who cares. People don't really sleep in Vegas anyway. I think that the rooms are actually better than the ones at the Circus Circus. Easy parking access and I do mean easy. If you know how to get around Vegas throught the back streets you can actually get into the hotel parking lot through the Harrah's parking entrance. In order to get to my car quicker I just jumped throught the window. I was on the first floor. They had great maid service, I called for an iron and board and it was there within five minutes.
The casino itself is pretty busy all the time. It has a fun atmosphere and everyone there is really friendly. If you want to grab a quick bite you have several (Mc D's. Chipotle's, Panda Express, Subway, Pizza) locations to choose from. Denny's and the Outback is also on the property if you want a sit down meal. If you want a kick back club just walk though the Harrah's and into the Carnival Court. If you want to have everything close to your room the Casino Royale is the place to stay. I had a great time there. I will be going back in April. I expect things will be the same.

this review is just for the casino.

the night we went we had a great time at the Casino. the dealers we had were pleasent & set a nice pace for our blackjack games. the cocktail waitress were attentive, the drinks were as watered down as anywhere else but at least they were free flowing.

All we did there was blackjack so I can't say how the rest of the place is but the atmosphere had a great deal of whooping & hollering with happy players. I liked this atmosphere much better than the morose tables at the Venetian.

I just love this little place. It has it's flaws, but the benefits far outway the problems if you're interested in saving a few hundred dollars. Not the place for a honeymoon, but perfect when visiting with friends and just need a place to rest and clean up. Perfect location, and the elevator is just a few steps from the actual Vegas Strip sidewalk. No need to lug your bags for miles from the check-in desk to your room. Just be sure to ask for a room near the elevator shaft, as the hallway is pretty long. Nice and secure entrance to the guest areas ( you need a room key to enter the building and someone is always posted at the door, too ). Rooms are clean, simple, and haven't had a problem with noise. Flawless location. Easy to walk to any expensive restaurant or show. Fast access to monorail via Harrah's, which is right next door. For those flying into the Vegas airport, I highly suggest avoiding the taxi station and taking a shuttle bus to The Mirage. From there, walk right across the street and you're ready to check into Casino Royale. Stayed there in September and December of 2007 and already booked another week in April of 2008. Use the money you save to take in some great shows and you will remember your trip forever.
