I booked a week to the Wastgate Flamingo Bay thru Interval International as an exchange for the week we own in the Marriott Vacation Club. I found bedbugs in the bed the first night and promptly checked out the next day. Needlass to say , I had a terrible experience.

I stayed here with my husband and his parents. We were traveling for business/fun to the CONEXPO (Construction Expo).

We basically stayed here because my in-laws have a Westgate timeshare in FL, so they traded their week for Las Vegas, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised, especially after reading some of the reviews.

The entry is gated with a guard posted at the gate, which I liked. We stayed in a 1st floor condo which had two bedrooms, living room, dining area, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen & washer/dryer. The furnishings were nice and everything was clean. A bit of mildew in the shower- but that's the be expected...it IS a shower, and it's often wet.

As we were staying w/ my in-laws, it was convenient to have the bedrooms located on either side of the common living area, and not w/ abutting walls.

We did not use the kitchen, execpt to make morning coffee. We ate out at restaurants mostly. We did have the complimentary "owners breakfast", which was fine for a light bagel, OJ & cereal. VERY crowded breakfast!

We didn't use the pool, and we rented our own car, so I can't comment on the pool or transportation offered. The pool looked nice, but small.

I had been worried about the reviews that said the walls were "paper thin" but it wasn't a big deal. We could hear some footsteps, but no more.

We LOVED staying "off the strip." Previously, we had always stayed directly on the stip in a large hotel/casino, but this time around we all liked coming back to a quiet smoke free location.

Also, there were staff always cleaning outside, which was nice, becuase there were many guests who thought it was OK to throw cigarette butts anywhere...

We own timeshare so we exchanged for a week at the Westgate Flamingo Bay.
Our check in was quick and easy no problems ,our 2 bedroom suite was great a really nice living space nice kitchen (no kettle) 3 TV's
2 Queen beds in the 2nd bedroom with a bathroom and a King Bed in the master with a Jacuzzi everything was great .>>>>>>>>EXCEPT the internet now I know when you are on holiday you shouldn't need it but you do and Westgate charge $70 per week and we couldn't even access it that is each computer.
They have a pay service at the front desk $5 for 20 mins and guess what its $5 for 15 mins at a internet cafe on the strip.(Free wireless Planet Hollywood Shops)
Back to Westgate there is a shuttle every hour that is very good but you must put your name down in advance,it returns back on the
15/30/45min at different hotels
Even though we stayed 7 days we did not get any housekeeping but they brought fresh towels whenever we asked
There is a nice pool with a Jacuzzi overall it is a nice resort
There was NO pressure for Time Share everyone was very helpful>>>>>The guards on the gate were sooo nice

My parents own a timshare with westgate. The place we stayed was a bit further off the strip on flamingo. The resort was really small, but it was a very clean place. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Our A/C wasn't working. And we called to get it fixed. Service men were there within 5 minutes to get it fixed. Our toilet also overflowed and they fixed it right away and followed up with a call the make sure it was still working properly. It is located around alot of things. If you go on Rainbow, you are a couple of blocks aways from a Super Wal-Mart. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and clean.
The condo itself was gorgeous. It was nice and clean, new. Really no complaints. A bit smaller than other timeshares we have stayed at, but that was alright.
It is a gated community which was nice, because you know security was always there. The only annoying thing was, my friend would come visit, and I had to tell them everyday when she was coming, what her plates, were, her name, car, etc. I told them to just let her come whenever during our stay, but they still called everytime to make sure that I knew her. So, I can see their reasoning, but they were a little overly protective.
I had to change my airline tickets so I could stay longer with my friend in vegas. The lobby staff were superb! They let me use their own computer to book my flight. Overall, a great experience.
