Stayed here two nights ago, and found it to be a very comfortable and clean hotel at a great price (especially as it was a Saturday night). Room was huge, and very clean. We didn't have a chance to try either of the pools or restaurants but they looked nice. Did try room service, which was very fast! The only negative is that if you picked this hotel to be close to the Strip it's a good 15 minute walk, which is harder than it sounds in the 40+ degree heat. Overall though, a great value hotel.

The grounds and outside exterior of this place were beautiful but....!!! Our room was filthy and worn out! Heavy staining on couch and chair and the cushions were shot as well. The air-conditioner rattled so loudly you could not talk on the phone, beds were hammocks. The carpets was worn and filthy, walls had the look of dripping soda stains where bottles or cans had been opened everywhere.
We did call before booking and asked if the rooms were newer or had been renovated recently. We were told they had been. NOT TRUE! After waiting to talk to the hotel manager for nearly an hour after getting to our room..she would not give us a refund but would move us to another building. The room we were moved into was identical except that it had just received a fresh paint job and the air-conditioner was quieter. You also had to pay for internet usage, local calls and there were only 6 regular TV channels to view. All in all, It was only a good place to get a bit of sleep . Front desk check-in was not professional and the line to check-in was very long. Go somewhere else. This is a poorly run establishment.

Stayed here for 3 days 2 nights and it was just wonderful. A little further off the strip than I would have liked but the valet had a cab there with in 15 min every time.

The Tuscany Suites and Casino on Flamingo Road is a great place to stay if you want to avoid the Vegas Strip, the crowds, and the traffic.
Located right next door to Terribles Casino, it's a short walk to the Hard Rock Casino, and an even shorter walk to one of the best museums I've ever seen, the Nuclear Testing Museum. In addition, the Suites are only about 10 mins away from the McCarran airport.
This property is both comfortable and accommodating. Our room was not fancy, but very large with a kitchenette, sofabed, and sleeper chair. View was terrible, but we didn't care. We were on the bottom floor, and we weren't there for the view anyway.
Front desk staff was outstanding in speed and courtesy. Check-in was smooth, directions to our suite were clear, and any further services were prompt and friendly. LOTS of parking spaces with easy access to our room.
The suites are old but not unattractive. We had a run-on toilet, a light fixture hanging from the ceiling, and a TV remote that wouldn't work (all fixed as soon as we complained).
The kitchenette does NOT come equipped with any supplies except the fridge, the hotplate, and the sink. Bring or buy something to cook in, utensils, and anything else you will need for your stay. Crank up the fridge coolness as soon as you arrive to ensure cold drinks.
The grounds are well kept, and the pool area is attractive. The lap pool is functional, but one BIG complaint was the green slimy fungus growing on the tile in the hot tub. I mentioned this to the staff when we checked out; the front desk person seemed to take it seriously and promised to do something to correct this health issue.
It was strange to see the hot tub in such bad shape since the pool and lap pool are tidy and cleaned regularly. I spoke to the pool boy who was friendly and forthcoming. He pointed out the filtering system and how it worked. I asked because of the strange salty taste in the pool water. I surmised it was water softening salts -- but that's a guess.
My husband and I are not hard to please, but we are fussy about cleanliness and smells. Our room was impeccably clean and was clear of any odors.
We love the casino here, too. It is small and smoky but the Players' loyalty card results in a whack of freebies. We never had to pay for a meal.
The Mexican restaurant on-site is terrific. We had the Taco Burgers, the Chicken Quesdillas, and Cheese Enchilladas. All delicious, as are their fresh tortilla chips and fresh salsa served with the meals.
Service is quick and friendly throughout this establishment.
In addition, if you do want to do the strip, it is a short bus ride, walk, cab ride, or rental car ride up to the Strip (Flamingo runs alongside Bally's).
We will stay here again in a heartbeat. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here and hope to celebrate many more anniversaries here in years to come.
Hint #1: Get a Players Club Card immediately. You are going to probably gamble anyway, so why not earn points towards food. We did that here...and we did it down the road at Terribles.
Hint #2: Go, go, go to the Atomic Testing Museum (just walk up the street). With or without kids, this is amazing. We loved the interactive stations. Extremely well-maintained and you simply must try the Ground Zero Theatre (beginning is a little scary).
Excellent value and service.
