This is our third stay at the tuscany. The first couple of times we had no problems since the hotel was new and they were trying to get established and develop a good reputation. This third visit was a major disappointment. Our first night's stay, after coming back from a night out in Vegas, we saw a disease infested cockroach running around in the livingroom area. We called the front desk to notify of our concerns and request to change rooms, however, only got the operator who said would relay the message to the front desk and send someone out. Never got a call back nor did anyone come to our suite. Since it was late, the front desk was a far walk from our suite and we were so tired, we decided to just wait until the morning.

I took a shower the next morning and what do you know? I've got company! Another cockroach that was even bigger than the one I saw the night before. It was crawling all over my toiletries and luckily I saw it before picking it up. Ok, so now I was grossed out, upset that they have no cares about their guests, and had to complain again...My friend called the front desk 3 times to complain, spoke with the lady who would speak with the manager onsite named Juan, but each time they would have to call us back. The manager did not want to speak with us at all. No progress was being made, we're supposed to be on vacation, can't go about our day because of this issue, and 2 hours have passed. I finally called a fourth time, got Juan the manager, and he didn't seem to want to attend to our concerns. I insisted that we be compensated somehow for the inconvenience and he said he would just transfer me back to the front desk to change rooms, but instead hung up on me! That was really unprofessional and rude of him! Never even got an apology!

A good reputation is very important especially when it comes to business and customer service. Tuscany has such a bad reputation now, they don't care about their customers if there are any concerns or problems and the rooms are not as clean as they used to be. They will be hearing from the department of health soon.

Just read some of the past complaints and the one I've written and hope you'd reconsider about staying here. If you're on vacation, you expect at least decent service. I just takes one wrong thing to happen and if they don't even want to be of help, you're vacation is ruined! All I can say is that when I complained at check out, one of the employees, who was the only one I could really get to comprehend us, agreed with me that we should have been compensated well, most other hotels would just comp. you for the evening as well as change rooms ASAP for the inconvenience. He thinks the manager was poor in his dealings with our concerns. That tells me alot about the management there. Tuscany won't last if they keep it up.

Stayed here for 3 nts and loved it. Huge room with refridgerator and coffee maker (unusual for Las Vegas). Short walk to the Strip or use the CAT bus.

This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel. It's improved a bit since last year. I think the management has changed, and that's a good thing.

In the rooms, they've given up on the kitchenette. That makes sense, because they never gave you pots, pans, dishes, or utensils. The bar sink, fridge, and microwave remain, as does the coffee pot.

The empty space in the casino has been filled in with more stuff. The comedy club that was shuttered last year has been replaced with a poker room. They gave up on trying to do "shows" - noone comes to the Tuscany to see a show. There's a new sports bar with lots of TV's and friendly service.

There's $3 blackjack most of the time, although it's multiple deck. Cocktail service in the casino is spotty. Some people can get drinks, but I never seem to be able to.

The awful buffet line is gone from the coffee shop, and it's being replaced with a counter. The coffee shop has gotten a coat of paint. The service is spotty - most mornings, the breakfast crew was overwhelmed by the number of guests.

The rooms remain well furnished, and are some of the largest I've ever stayed in. The comments below about reserving a non-smoking room and getting a smoking room are on target, as that happened to me. My room's air conditioning unit squeaked a lot and didn't cool well. They've added WiFi for a fee and it worked great.

In a nutshell: this hotel is improving, and is usually a good value. The rates are creeping up, however. This hotel is a bargain under $100/night. Over $100/night, I'd rather stay somewhere else.

Arrived at Tuscany to a front desk with 2 people working and a line. Was informed no more non smoking rooms were available (which we booked a month in advance) and was given a handicaped non-smoking room. Did not have microwave or stove as stated so we had to request a microwave. The room overall was okay, carpet a bit stained and a ring around the tub, but otherwise good.

The cable .... leaves a lot to be desired...maybe 10 channels and no HBO. The carry out was very reasonable and the food was tasty. Casino workers were friendly for the most part, especially the ones behind the bar. :)

We just return from a fantastic week at the Tuscany Suites. As everybody indicated, it is the best secret in Vegas. The hotel is close to the Strip so you can walk but it also has a bus stop in front of the hotel for those who prefered transportation. The rooms are huge and the hotel has all the facilities. My only complaint is for the Marylin's Cafe (the only 24 hrs dinner at the hotel) that did not have enough people to support the mid-night crowd. Other than that the place is excellent for those who wants to be close enough to the srtrip without the crowds, noise, etc. that the strip has.
