I stayed at The Tuscany Suites this past weekend with my boyfriend, cousin & her boyfriend. I wasnt trying to spend a crazy amount of money on a hotel room in Las Vegas so I found The Tuscany Suites online and the rooms looked good and had everything we needed and were somewhat close to the strip. We checked in at the front desk and within the first 5 minutes my boyfriend and I werent very happy about it. The staff was extremly rude, they failed to mention at the time of booking my room, there would be a $200 security deposit that we would get back at check out as long as we didnt order any movies, room service, etc. So we paid that out of our spending money, got into our room, there were broken tiles in the bathroom, the mini fridge didnt work the entire first day we were there, and there were cigarette holes burnt into the comforters. Of course those things were minimal b/c we wouldnt be spending much time in the room in the first place. At the time of our checking out of the hotel, they send house keeping to check out your room -which i have never had happen, even in the very nice hotels- this took about 15 minutes, house keeping called back to the front desk & told them we had smoked in the room. I had reserved a non-smoking room b/c my boyfriend has asthma and no one in our room smokes, so of course we didnt want to smell that. So they proceeded to charge us $50 for smoking in the room, the manager wouldnt even listen to us when we explained to her that no one smokes cigarettes, she then said, well they said it wasnt cigarettes and insinuated that we had smoked something else in the room, and if we wanted to dispute the charge we could wait another 30 minutes and security would check out the room. By this point we were so frustrated with the rude manager and the woman at the front desk that was trying to check us out of our room- which by the way had no idea what she was doing- that we just said forget it and got our $150 back from them and left. It was by far the worst experience Ive had with a hotel in Vegas and I have definetly learned my lesson staying in a "cheap" hotel to save some money for going out more.
