Very quiet, safe and clean environment. Had room on third floor, didn't hear a thing even though there were other guests around, no parking nor street around. We were on the third floor of building C, next to the main building. Got a room for $63 a night including tax.
HUGE room with two double beds, huge bathroom with shower AND tub, separate toilet 'room'. Coffee maker, small fridge and sink in room, no microwave. We took napkins, forks, etc from the snack shop. Toiletries (replaced every day), safe, hairdryer, iron, iron table, opening windows, good climate control, clean carpets, sheets and plenty of towels; not worn nor stained. Apparently the whole building is non-smoking, which was nice -no tobacco odor whatsoever.
Good snack bar for a quick eat, coffee; didn't use other facilities nor saw the casino: it was on the other side of the premises.
Well maintained surroundings, good security, each building has own door which you open with your room card key. Felt safe.
Rented a car for one day and found plenty of parking. The place is huge, with lots of 3 floor buildings. Looks like a time-share to me. Snack and refreshment machines in every building. Good sized pool, which obviously nobody used because of the cold.
Found strange that stairs had no indoor access, only way to go up was via the elevator, which was only one for the whole building. Let's ask the architect...
Didn't like:
1) We had an early check-in, and the hotel has the policy to charge $10 for this. This was annoying, but found out too late-after the 20 min walk with our bags trailing.
2) Very bad painting job in ceiling of room.
3) Toilet seat in very bad condition, screaming to be replaced. Clean but very worn.
4) Stained sofa; didn't go near it after seeing the stains for fear they would be urine stains...
Some people wouldn't like:
1) The Tuscany is a good, cold, 20 min walk from The Strip down Flamingo Road. A little solitary at night, but enough traffic to make you feel confident. By the way, no 'ugly or seedy neighborhood' as some reviews say. Just lots of parking and a closed gas station, which is being renovated. Saw one homeless sleeping on one of the bus stops, but you see these in any city and he was sleeping, anyway. It takes months for the traffic light to change, but very dangerous to cross the street with traffic. There is a bus along Flamingo Rd, with a stops very close to the hotel, and there are plenty of taxis waiting around the lobby building.
2) Limited tv channels, but we didn't come to LV to watch tv.
Definitely would stay there again; if you don't mind the distance to The Strip and want a little peace and quiet, this is the place for you.
