We spent 7 days/six nights in Vegas in the middle of August. First time at the Tuscany and we loved it. Arrived Saturday afternoon and had a 20 minute line at the front desk. I hate waiting, but this wasn't too long compared to some of the hotels on the strip. Huge room and very quiet, We thought we were the only guests on the floor. They must be remodeling the rooms because every morning they were unloading a new delivery of furniture in the parking lot in front of the fitness center.
Both of the pools were nice, and the lap pool was ours alone most of the time. The table games in the casino were a little slow, not a lot of play. But with the strip a few blocks away, we didn't mind. We tried all of the restuarants with the exception of the Mexican one. Good food with large servings. And the Tuscan themed restuarant was staffed by actual Italians, didn't expect that. And around the corner is the Ellis Island restuarant with very good $4.99 steak dinners.
While the walk to the strip isn't too bad, we did have a car and used it to get to the far end of the strip, downtown and up the the mountains. I plan on staying at the Tuscany Suites my next trip to Las Vegas.
