“Great off-strip Hotel”

We spent 7 days/six nights in Vegas in the middle of August. First time at the Tuscany and we loved it. Arrived Saturday afternoon and had a 20 minute line at the front desk. I hate waiting, but this wasn't too long compared to some of the hotels on the strip. Huge room and very quiet, We thought we were the only guests on the floor. They must be remodeling the rooms because every morning they were unloading a new delivery of furniture in the parking lot in front of the fitness center.
Both of the pools were nice, and the lap pool was ours alone most of the time. The table games in the casino were a little slow, not a lot of play. But with the strip a few blocks away, we didn't mind. We tried all of the restuarants with the exception of the Mexican one. Good food with large servings. And the Tuscan themed restuarant was staffed by actual Italians, didn't expect that. And around the corner is the Ellis Island restuarant with very good $4.99 steak dinners.
While the walk to the strip isn't too bad, we did have a car and used it to get to the far end of the strip, downtown and up the the mountains. I plan on staying at the Tuscany Suites my next trip to Las Vegas.

FANTASTIC HOTEL
We booked the Tuscany as it seemed great value and just far enough from strip to reduce noise! and boy were we right absolutely beautiful, well set out foyer no queuing to book in, lots of help from friendly efficient staff.
Rooms were huge and clean fantastic seperate shower and bath. We were both impressed with the air conditioning as needed it 112degrees at midnight and room was nice and cool.
Pool area clean and well managed plenty of seating although too hot during day to take full advantage.
Restaurants fantastic and bars good.
Cant rate this hotel high enough would definately stay again, but maybe not take too much money for gambling next time lol

Stayed at the Tuscany for two weeks from 19th Sept. We chose this hotel due to the lower prices than the Strip and because we were staying 2 weeks, and reviews being quite positive. We arrived mid afternoon and check in was swift. We stayed in block L which is a couple of minutes walk to reception. The room was large and clean and we received numerous fresh towels per day. They are upgrading the rooms as we had a new sofa and chair. We seen sofa's being removed from other blocks by the dozen. During our stay the pool was closed for two days without much explanation. As a result the lap pool was overcrowded and no sun beds for us to use. We went to the Platinum Hotel next door and asked if we could use their pool, which they kindly agreed to. What a difference to see a beautiful chic pool area with a seriously heated pool which was both indoors and outdoors and the most comfortable sun beds. Anyway back to the Tuscany. The pool area was OK with small towels provided: sun beds easily available at all times of the day although busier at weekends. The pool bar has been closed down and I seen people measuring the pool area which is due to be refurbished. We had no complaints about the hotel or the restaurants. There is one bar with live music in the evening (same every night), but the female clientèle at the weekends is somewhat questionable. Please note that the prices at the bars in the Tuscany were almost half the price of bars on the Strip, except if you are gambling then the drinks are free. We only walked to the Strip once as we had just missed the bus and would not recommend the walk as we felt safety was an issue late at night. We bought a 30 day unlimited pass for the CAT/Deuce buses for 40 dollars at the Moneytree on E Flamingo Road which meant that we did not have to buy a daily pass at 5 dollars. We used the concierge at the hotel 3 times and found them to be informative and helpful. On our last day when we went to shower before leaving there was no water. We contacted reception who said there had been an emergency and they had to shut off the water. They phoned back within 2 minutes and offered us another room in another block and a member of staff brought the key to us within 5 minutes. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and there are unlimited things to do in Vegas even for 2 weeks. I would recommend the Tuscany for the budget minded traveler who is prepared to stay off the Strip which is a few minutes on the bus compared to others on the South Strip which would take a long time on the Deuce to the main part of the Strip.

“Great Tuscany Rooms and Service.”

Tuscany Suites & Casino

Sep 23, 2007

Stayed 10 nights this Sept.
Read on previous reviews that some of the rooms had been recently upgraded, so asked when we booked in for one. We were given a great new room in block "G" third foor. Everything was split new, beds, carpets, fridge, air conditioner and bathroom equipment.
We ate in three restaurants, Tuscany Gardens food was excellent, but had to wait 45 mins for it to be served to our table, the Mexican's food was excellent as well, we ate each morning in Marilyn's Cafe, the food at the beginning was very good, but as the days past the bacon and sausages went from cold to freezing each morning, we did complain a couple of times, but the chefs could not have understood as we still received COLD food each morning.
It is only a TEN mins walk at most to the Strip, which is having MAJOR bulding work just now, so it was great getting away from the noise and dust. The room was very large and clean.
All the staff at the Hotel were great. Would we stay again YES.

“Better Values Elsewhere”

Rough around the edges, not particularly clean, front desk understaffed, unfriendly bar tenders in the casino, cold bacon and eggs for breakfast in the coffee shop after long wait for service. This on top of listening to the screaming room air conditioner all night. Thought about asking for a different room when I realized while walking by other rooms outside that a lot of the air conditioners were in "howl mode". No microwave in room (double burner stove is included, not sure what you'd do with it though). 8 TV Channels on a tiny 25" set. Grossly overpriced at $79 on a week night.
