My 3 girl friends and I stayed at the Flamingo in April for a week after getting a great deal on Expedia. We stayed in 2 of the normal rooms which were excellent value. They were spotlessly clean and the 2 large beds in each were super comfortable! The hairdryer was pretty powerful and the bathroom was a good size. The only downside of the room was that they could possibly have done with some fresh air rather than aircon as they were a little bit stuffy and therefore caused blocked noses and sore throats, but seeing as we weren't in them much, this wasn't too much of a problem!
The Flamingo is in an excellent location - great for walking either way on the strip, you couldn't ask for better. The pools are fab - one huge pool, a smaller adult pool and even a mini beach area, but if you didn't get down there by 11ish it was hard to get a sun bed. The over 21s pool was really fun, there was a dj there one day playing music and it's less crowded than the main pool. In April the slide was closed, but it looked good! The wildlife area is really nice - lots of birds walking around, it's very pretty.
The buffet is okay, prob one of the best on the strip (some are dire so this isn't really the highest praise!). However, the restaurant just before the buffet is great - huge and tasty portions for a very reasonable price.
The casino is good because it isn't huge and there was a variety of games. It didn't take too long to walk through to get out of the hotel.
The staff were all friendly and helpful from the waiters and waitresses to the reception desk staff.
It was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again. This hotel caters for everyone - families, older couples, younger people.
A tip for any girls going to Vegas - never pay to get into any of the bars or clubs, you can always blag it or find some free tickets from someone/somewhere!
