11/29/08..just got back from a 3 day Thanksgiving day stay at T.I. Couple things. Service overall was better than I expected, for the most part they were overly accommodating with helping us with a few issues (except the last one here). The rooms on the other hand are nice and much more updated since the last time I stayed there. So the look and feel of the room was good. However, the room was actually just not very clean. I don't think the carpets were ever vacuumed because every time we moved the dust lifted then settled on everything. Ventilation is poor. The beds are pretty bad. No support. I had the worst three nights of sleep there. Lying on the bed feels like getting strap on a torture table. No joke. Must be a pirate thing. When I shared this with front desk, I was asked if I called down to front desk to tell them, and that next time I should call front desk first, along with a 'I'm soooo sorry" that could have won an Emmy. Sadly, I won't be returning.

We will not gamble at this casino again. The staff was very rude. At one point one of the slot machines jammed and my ticket didn't print. Waited at least an hour with the service light on with no help arriving. Asked 2 employees and both were no help and extremely rude. Ended up leaving without receiving any help and losing a large amount of money in the jammed machine.

Will not return to this casino.

Why do the MGM casinos in Las Vegas NOT tell the player how many comp dollars they accumulate until check out?

What if you do not stay at a MGM property, how do you get comped?

Two years ago, my husband and I stayed there. When we checked out, were were comped two nights. That was a good value.

This trip, he went alone and booked at corporate rate (he paid twice the amount of the players rate). He wanted to know how much comp he was accumulating and how he could spend it. Long story short, he played a lot and was comped the few meals that he charged to the room, which was a very low comp value.

After many inquires during his 5 night stay about the comp accumulation, all he could get was "charge everything to your room" and "we don't comp merchandise".

We have never heard of a casino who makes their comps so mysterious as you continue to play. Most places allow you to scan your card and watch your comps accumulate. Why does MGM keep it a secret until check out?

We just returned from a 3 day stay at TI. For the price, you can't beat the hotel. Make sure you ask for a newly renovated room. Best bet (no pun intended) is to book a room with a strip view. You will pay a bit more, but will have a much better shot of getting a newer room (and nonsmoking if you prefer). OK, now for the casino. Awful. The dealers were extremely unfriendly and, at times, downright rude. Probably didn't help that I was extremely unlucky at the tables... anyway, even putting that aside, my recommendation is to stay at the hotel IF you can get a new room and stay away from the casino. Far, far away.

I agree with Jamaica7777! These people are so rude on the floor is is ridiculous. I was having a conversation about Texas with the guy next to me and how little rain we had and his crops etc and the dealer just cut in and started telling me off. Mind you we were all dressed up and just came from dinner for our anniv and decided to play a few hands on a monday night...........I was so upset about how rude she was. Noone was even talking to her. I did not know if maybe she was of a different culture she does not understand people talk and joke at the tables, it is part of the fun. Noone was cursing or being loud, people were just talking. This other lady wanted to stay on a 12, which is odd, but the dealer started telling her off too. Then she told me husband off saying he did not know how to play and if we were going to play at her table we needed to learn when to hit and not hit, even though by this time we were the only ones at her table b/c she pissed everyone else off so bad they left. The one guy wanted to play 2 hands and she would not let him she said he would be running the table if other people wanted to play. Again, 3 spots were open on the table and it was dead in there! RUDE!
