I want to first adress postings from others about the staff at this casino being rude. If you take a close look around the casino floor, you will see that the caliber of some of the patrons in this place is not the best (kinda sketchy). So I'm quite sure that would get on anyones nerves after a while. After any employee realizes that you are NOT a no-goodnik, they warm right up to you and make sure your stay is great. It was a Saturday night and my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to go down to the Riv and follow it up with Slots A Fun (old school vegas style). When we got there, we settled into our slot chair (Penny slots). After awhile we saw a coctail waitress coming around with her tray of drinks. After dropping of 10 drinks, I saw 1 person tip her, are you kidding me?!!!!! The booze is FREE and she wasn't there for a good time people!!!!!!!!!!! So I asked her for 2 double vodka 7's, she muttered something under her breath, did not smile and walked away. Upon her return, I tipped her a 5 dollar bill and she asked me if I wanted change. I replied with a no and a smile, she looked VERY gracious and shocked. Well let me tell you, after that we did not have to ask her once for a drink, she was very personable and bubbly the drinks kept coming and the tips kept flowing. She was cheering us on during bonus rounds and made us feel very welcome!! These people don't make a great base wage and they live on thier tips. 2 dbl vodka 7's anywhere else would have cost us EASILY 25 dollars a round, so if you do the math we were saving 20 dollars a round. The casino was a bit dated, but clean. And the slots were VERY generous. Check this place out, its WELL worth it and for god's sake, give your waitress a smile and a tip, they put up with enough low-lifes in a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We didn't stay here, just dropped in to the casino for a bit. The parking is confusing and we ended up walking a long way through a pretty sketchy area.

I have mixed feelings about this casino because, while it was a bit tired and the dealers were extremely rude, the slots paid out pretty well and pretty frequently. If you don't like big crowds in big casinos, this is the place for you- even on a Saturday night. At the least, if you are walking by, drop in, play a few slots and move on. But I recommend playing cards some place else where the dealers actually seem to like their jobs.

I recently played here for about 4 days when I also stayed at the hotel. The dealers and pit crew were all very friendly and made my girlfriend and I feel very welcome to play here and just helped us have a great time. The late night/early morning craps crew were especially great. Overall, a great experience at this casino.

My wife and I took a vacation to Las Vegas last year. While there, we went to the Riviera Casino on the strip. We Placed a $50.00 bet on Keno. This bet would cover fifty seperate games of Keno and we did not have to be present to watch the games. We would have many days to come back and check to see if we had won any money. The next day I went in to check my ticket to see if my numbers had come up. After scanning my ticket, we were told we would have to speak to the supervisor over the game. We were excited because this usually means that you have won something significant.
The supervisor came out and told me that they had mistakenly put my bet on the wrong game. (There are several Games running at once) These games are named different colors. (The Red game, The green game, the Gold game for example.) When I placed my bet I didn't know one game from another but the ticket I received back signified that I was playing on the red game. According to the supervisor it took them several games to realize that they had placed my bet on the wrong game. So after several games they changed my bet to another game without my consent. Of Course I didn't win anything on the new game. My complaint is this, How can a casino change your bet after you leave the casino With a ticket that says you are playing on a certain game. I personally think they changed the ticket to avoid paying out a win on the other game. If they are allowed to do this, then what is stopping them from changing your sports bets to losing teams after the bet is placed, and you have been given your ticket signifying your original bet. There are signs up at the Riviera saying that you are responsible for making sure your bets are correct right after you receive them because if it is wrong and you accepted it you are bound by the marker they gave you, whether or not it is correct. How come the casino is not bound by the same rules. I called and complained to the head of the Keno games. This Gentleman told me that it is common practice for the Keno bets to be changed to another game by the casino after the better has placed his bet. This is done without the knowledge or consent of the better.
I know that I will never place another bet at this casino or at any other casino run by the same company. I would advise any other betters to take thier bets somewhere that won't change your bets to losing bets after you leave.
Gamblers beware the Riviera is not happy with having the odds in their favor they want to make it impossible to win.

Visited the Casino, late one nite (walked from the Stardust) and played the 3-5-9 poker and enjoyed it so much, stayed on it several hours. The dealers were jovial and helpful. Went to the high roller cage nearby and had a successful venture with a Flaming Seven machine. Went to the nickel machine area looking for the mysterious restrooms that managed to move everytime I was given directions by a member of the staff!!! Played the Monopoly new machines and took $300-$500 out of them. Felt great!!Was comped a 3 AM buffet and the chef on duty prepared a huge omelet to order and the cheesecake was fresh and devine. The casino seemed to be short staffed, but I think it was the time of nite/early AM. Will return to gamble at the huge variety of slots...I like the new ones, and to enjoy the newer games of poker...4 card-crazy and 3-5-7. People were having a lot of luck on the 3-card table and the Black=Jack Single Deck 21. Long way to walk to the buffet and then had to use escalators. Already received comped room offers, but after reading some of your reviews, think I will pass staying there and just enjoy the casino.
