My family attended the show at Excalibur, Tournament of the Kings. Having been to a similar show outside of Vegas, we were fairly sure about what to expect. If you are considering booking this show, here are a few things to consider:

- Only buy online if you want to cheer for the bad guys:
I had considered several times to buy our tickets before leaving home. Upon every attempt, I was offered tickets in the same section, which turned out to be seated in the audience supporting the dragon. This might be dissappointing, as most of the competition in the show is between the kings of the different nations. There is only one small part of the show where you actually see "the dragon". And, like every good fairy tale, the dragon is NOT going to win. I was happy I had waited and bought tickets the day before. We had great seats and my teenage girls loved to cheer for "their" king.

- Avoid waiting in line before the show
Your tickets are reserved seating. Arriving early and waiting in line was a complete waste of time- and of course time is the only commodity we have on vacation. There is a great arcade to play in just outside the show. Wait for the line to dissappear and find your seats without a pushy crowd around you.

- Dont bring a vegetarian
Unless your non-meat eater has a tiny appetite, I would not consider taking a vegetarian. My daughter waited until our entire section was fed before receiving the most unappetizing plate of fettuccine I have seen. I think they raided the left over lunch options from the buffet. (plus, they gave her a FORK! how UN-MEDIEVAL)

- Not so much of a 'dinner show'
Although pleasant, the waiters were not really part of the show, and served the meal before the entertainment even began. This might be a comparison to the "other" establishment where servers role-play and are part of the "show". I felt like we were on an eating assembly line.

- Get some great pics
After the show, a couple of the kings will be available for upclose greetings and pictures. My girls REALLY liked the opportunity to say hello. I will warn you that not ALL the kings are available AND there will be A LOT of people waiting with you for the kodak moment.

In all, it was fun. I was a little dissappointed that they did not have a special script, given we attended on Christmas Day. I would suggest looking for a discount or coupon. I do not think it was worth the face ticket amount, but do not regret attending.

This is usually one of my favorite shows in town, but this last time was pretty disappointing. It seems their pyrotechnic guy moved on to a different show and "took his tanks with him". Unfortunately the whole final battle was lost, and a great twist was cut because of it. It now seems short and far more dull, as well as a bit choppy with obvious plot points missing. They also slowed down the great fast paced tumbler sequence with a new act. If you haven't seen the previous version, i'm sure you could leave happy, as it seemed many did after the show. I'm only writting this in hopes somebody from the shows production team see's it and takes note, because i'd hate to see this show be ruined because of the changes. I look forward to seeing it on my next trip hoping that it's back to it's old glory.

This was a fun show. My wife and I had a great time. You eat with your hands, bang on the table, cheer for your knight and boo the others. There's not a dull moment the entire time. I would recommend this to anyone. Just remember to go to the half price ticket place, or stay at the Excalibur for discounted tickets.

The show at the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas, “The Tournament of Kings” is a live-action dinner show recreating the times of jousting and Knights. It’s a great way to spend an evening in Sin City. When you are seated pay attention to your section because it will come into play later in the night. Dinner starts out with tasty tomato soup followed by a Cornish hen, twice-baked potatoes, broccoli, and a roll. The Cornish hen is mouth-watering and tastes better than chicken. The final course, dessert, is a let down though. The actual show is fun filled and a great piece of entertainment. It’s corny and cheesy, but the choreography and blocking takes real talent and skill. There’s a lot of crowd cheering, chanting and booing that’ll keep kids and adults engaged. The actual tournament part is very physical and exciting. And once it’s all over you’ll spent from all the cheering and clapping and fun you’ve just had at the Excalibur Tournament of Kings in Las Vegas, Nevada.
