The magic is unbelievable and I have no idea how he does any of his illusions. Lance's lack of stage presence really detracts from the show. He seems like he is reading from cue cards that were written years ago.

The magic was big and impressive, but it just showed he had lots of producers assisting with him and a lot of custom-made props. That isn't necessarily bad, but it doesn't show off his talent personally. I was actually more impressed with Mac King, an afternoon comedian/magician at Harrah's (cost $30, not $100!). If you are looking for a good magician and to be entertained, then go to Mac King. That being said, if you are a huge magic fan, then I'm sure you'll be impressed by Lance Burton.

The auditorium has three areas: 1) main floor, 2) mezzanine and 3) balcony. We sat in the 4th row of the mezzaine, which was just a few steps up from the main floor. Main floor tickets are only available at the Monte Carlo box office. I'd recommend that if you see the show, you get the main floor tickets. The mezzanine (and thus, I'm sure the balcony) were too far away. Pay the big bucks and get the best seats if you can, if you decide to go.

We saw this show in May. Yes, his accent was somewhat distracting, but I guess it added personality.
The tricks are really good! Loved all of them!
It is a great show to take kids. He interacted with the children many times, and it is just precious to see their expressions!
Highly recommend this show.

Went ot the show with my daughter (7). It was amazing. Lance evn interacted with her as we were in the front row and did a magic trick on her.
It was enjoyable for both adults & kids.
We saw later in our trip the Nathan Burtion show. It was half as good and justified thus half the costs.
A must see for all people wanting a good classical magic show.

My wife and I went to see Lance Burton's show on February 15. It was the first night the show had been performed since the Monte Carlo had closed last month due to the fire. It definitely seemed that the cast and crew were a little out of practice. There were a number of mixups and mistakes. At one point, when one of the curtains was raised too soon, Lance even barked to the crew offstage, "That was not the cue to raise the curtain!" The curtain was promptly lowered and raised again at the correct time.

I grew up watching him perform on television, and it was with mixed feelings that I saw many of these same tricks and illusions performed live. Being right up in the front row, things didn't look as crisp and clean and magical as they do sitting in your living room watching him through the television. I also wished that he had performed more tricks that I had not previously seen him or others perform on tv.

Overall, the show was okay, but I wouldn't go back to see it again. If you haven't previously seen a lot of his magic, and/if you have young children, then this may be a good event to go to. There is no denying that he has a lot of skill and is a very talented magician.
