The Canyon Ranch spa is voted the second best spa in Las Vegas. It is located at the Venetial hotel and shared by the newly built Palazzo. Booking is very easy. They didnt had my original massage service due to a construction. The spa is easy to find. They have a cafe that serves healthy but overpriced menu. Of course, this is Vegas. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy but wasnt able to accommodate the changes I made from a friend who canceled. So, I had to take her service or else I get charged the whole price or only refunded 35% of the price. That was a hassle. The women's locker are small and Im glad it was not crowded when I was there. They serve juice and water and some fruits. The jacuzzi area is relatively small. I wonder what happens when the spa is too busy. They have numerous treatment rooms however. I had the canyon ranch massage. My masseuse was good though. i noticed that they are touchy feely meaning to say when they meet you, they will put their hands around your shoulder or touch your back. I was surprise at this at first but I think this is a way for you to feel more comfortable. My massage was late but finished right on time. After that, I had my mango scrub. It was ok. I think I can do it home if I have the hydro tub they have. The cute part is after a service, they ask you to choose a wellness card that inlcudes some inspirational quotes. When she showed it to me,I thought we're doing tarot readings. lol. The walk to the treatment room is long and puzzle-like. Very un spa-ish. When I spa, I want to zip out right the room and continue on getting ready. It was a long walk. they shld do something about this. Will never go back only if they have a really signature service I want to try.

I had to laugh at the most recent rating about the sauna being down. I was the one who complained about it malfunctioning (in late February) and had it shut down then. This was AFTER I ended up trapped in it as it over-heated and melted the rubber door-stop loose, which then bunched up and prevented the door from opening. I had to drop my towel and use it as a defense to batter my way out. I sustained 2nd degree burns in several places on my right arm. It appears the scars will be permanent.
I had to request that they remove the spa fee (didn't get the relaxing experience I was expecting). They took two sets of pictures of my arm and had me fill out an incident report. A report that I had to sacrifice my lunch 1/2 hour (I was in Vegas working) speeding across the Palazzo to the spa and back to my meeting room.
I haven't heard anything from the spa manager Suzy. No follow up call ..."How are you doing?....etc" and their insurance company never answers my calls or returns my messages. I have paid my own doctor fees and prescription fees and would like to recoup the cost of treatment. In this day and age of sue-happy people I am very much surprised that I wasn't afforded a bit more courtesy and attention. But it appears that nothing and no-one at the Canyon Ranch operates at a professional level.

My wife, two friends and I all visited the Canyon Rand SpaClub facilities at The Venetian in Las Vegas on 2/16. After the four of us completed our services and returned to the main check-in lobby area of the spa we all unanimously agreed that we were all very disappointed on so many levels.

Ironically there was a very irate woman at the front desk complaining in her robe about the very things the four of us were discussing. We should have known when we were asked to pay first, that something was not right!

-We were rushed at the front desk for check in
-Very rushed in the locker room with no explanation of where things were including bathroom, grooming area, meditation room (if there was one), etc
-The waiting room was extremely crowded, with no seats available (no tranquility up to this point)
-Even the fruit in the waiting room was rushed as it wasn't even ripe
-Masseuse - let's see... he talked the entire 50 minutes, never dimmed the lights, never had any music playing, no candle, etc (again no tranquility or peace) and let's talk about his complete lack of technique. I left sorer than when I first walked in.
-For a place that boasts all this square footage, it must all be in the gym and rock climbing wall because the hot tub, sauna, and steam room were tiny (again with no ambiance or tranquility) - the sauna on the ladies side was out of order (per my wife).
-Showers lacked again ambiance and tranquility and to top it off, they were not even clean! Nothing says tranquility like a shower drain with slowed drainage and hairs all over the wall of the shower.
-Service...No one directed what to do with our slippers and robes once we were through- I was standing around like an idiot while staff members rushed the next hour’s appointments in like cattle as well.

We should have read trip advisor and all of the bad experiences others have already had before booking at CRSC. The funny thing is that we are not complainers and we're open to giving things a chance. We roll with the punches. We know that anyone can have an off day in one respect or another, but at the price of 4 massages (a couple's full body massage, a head-neck-shoulders massage, and a foot massage, all at 50 minutes) and a facility so highly talked about (not sure why other than having a good PR rep), customers should not have to endure and PAY THOSE PRICES for what we experienced.

We will not be returning to the CRSC! By the way, they have yet to reply back to an email I sent to them explaining our dissatisfaction and experience. No surprise there…

I wouldn’t be remiss if I didn’t say that my wife and I both feel that our experience at the spa in no way shape or form reflects our overall experience of The Venetian as a hotel and Casino. We enjoyed The Venetian very much – just stay away from the Spa!

I am really surprised that Canyon Ranch wants to associate itself with the facility in Las Vegas. The place overall was very mediocre and a bit overpriced. I have ventured a number of spas in Vegas and elsewhere and I was completely unimpressed.

The receptionist was fine, though I was surprised to fine that I needed to pay for the treatment and tip in advance. (I am sorry, I base tip on the treatment fulfilled, not as an obligation).

They gave a quick tour and I mean quick. Basically, there are lockers, bathrooms, mirrors, 1 jacuzzi, 1 sauna and 1 steam room. Really tiny... All of them, oh and 1 not so quiet, quiet room. Because I did a bit of gambling and did not sleep, I wanted to nap for 1 hour prior to my treatment, they kept waking me up, just to see if I was sleeping.

I get to my treatment, a nice guy and it was a pretty good massage. Oh, but I paid for an extra add on to the treatment, some citrus scalp and foot massage. After 50 minutes, after he dabbed something on my forehead, he was done, massage and all. Forget the add-on... I asked him about the foot massage and he said what, that was not added on to the treatment.

Oh and I paid $190 for the massage plus $20 for the add-on, Citrus lotion on my forehead.

Wayyyy overpriced, way to short of treatment. Need more that 1 jacuzzi, really, really small.

Liked Bellagio, MGM, Mandalay Bay better.

I will never go to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub again. Being a spa junkie, I was really excited to try out this spa since I had heard so many great things. However, I was sorely disappointed. The spa was overly crowded, and as soon as I got there, they made me pay for my massage and tip in advance. I was then rushed into the changing room. The waiting room should have been relaxing, but it was too crowded. I signed up for a massage, and my massage therapist was so sweet, but she gave a horrible massage. I had asked for medium to firm pressure, and she barely gave me any pressure. It was clear that she was inexperienced, and it was as if she just touched my skin and that was it. I think these therapists know that we've already paid, so they are not motivated to give you the massage that is worthy of $150 for 50 minutes. Moreover, on my way out, I heard one of the other therapists complaining that her next appointment was late and she yelled to the room attendant to let her know that when she arrived, because she was late, to make sure she knew that her massage would be shorter even though she paid for a 50 minute massage. I guess that's a true statement, but that was not a tactful statement to yell out in front of the other guests. I've been to other 5 star spas, and if I was 5 or ten minutes late, the massage therapist was gracious enough to give me the full time of the treatment. There must be a better spa in Las Vegas. If you want to be herded through an overly priced treatment, then this is your place. But if you work hard to save enough money for a day at the spa, I highly recommend that you try another spa.
