Took my wife for her birthday, I have been to Vegas about 5 times in the last 8 years, The Palms is the place to be if your still young or young at heart. Great bars, Crazy pool party on Friday, and top notch service. Would go back in a heartbeat. Not a place for kids, Hope this helps.

I stayed at The Palms over the weekend with my boyfriend and he stayed an additional few days more for business. We were very excited and looking forward to a funfilled experience. The room itself is nothing to write home about and is a little outdated but it is a good size and the bathroom is fairly large. I arrived at 11:30am on Friday and was able to check in early which is the only positive of this whole experience.

Saturday night we came back from the pool with our sunglasses on our faces since our hands were full. I then put my sunglasses on the ironing board which we had been using as a shelf for our smaller items. The next morning we went down to brunch and had to unexpectedly run out to FedEx Kinkos so I didn't have time to go back upstairs to get my sunglasses. Upon returning we got ready to go to the pool and realized they were missing and of course the room had been cleaned. So we were robbed by the cleaning staff. We searched through all our belongings to make sure before calling security. These were expensive sunglasses so this was particularly upsetting. When security arrived he interogated us like we were the thieves and outright told us that 99% percent of tourists find their items before leaving basically not taking us seriously. I filled out an incident report and was told I would hear something about their investigation efforts within 24 hours. When we didn't hear anything my boyfriend went downstairs and noone at the hotel knew of our incident nor could they located the incident report form I filled out. For 2 days he tried to figure out what happened and noone knew anything nor was responsive. We were basically ignored. To make matters worse for the next 2 days the cleaning staff would not clean our room (I am assuming because they heard of the theft and our reporting of it).

To top it all off my boyfriend went to a business dinner and I was in a towel since I had gotten back from the pool and I heard the key in the door and someone walk in. I assumed it was him but it was the cleaning staff (maybe returning to the scene of the crime!?) and they questioned me as to why I had not checked out of the hotel...our checkout day was not for several more days. The most annoying part is that she did not even knock..just walked right in.

The hotel is fine if you want a springbreak / lowclass experience but otherwise I would not recomend this hotel to anyone unless that is what you are looking for and if you also don't mind being treated like an annoyance if something godforbid happens to you at the hotel like me.

"Deceptive gaming practices at slot club! " I finally made it to the Palms to check out the Maloof brothers venture..was not overly impressed with the casino area, expected more of a Strip like quality.I went to the slot club to get a players card and was told that it was "Five times points" day..Wahooo1 The lady that signed me up said you need 1500 points to get $25 free play. And that the slot points were adjusted already in the machines to reflect the 5 times value. Return on the machines did seem somewhat better than what I encountered on the Strip as I was staying at the Mirage.Took a while to get 1200 points so I put in another $60 figuring I would achieve the 1500 points required to get the $25 free slot play the slot club employee told me about. So after dropping about $180 I finally went to get my $25 I THOUGHT I earned..waited in a line for 25 minutes, got to the counter and said to the gentleman at the counter,I finally got the 1500 points required and at least I got the $25 slot play. He put my card in some machine and said to me..I have some bad news for you..you only have 354 points! The five times value points are worth next to NOTHING!!! I told him this was very deceiving and not what I was told when I joined the slot club and the slot machines all showed I now had 1780 points!,He then told me.."The good news is..You have enough points to get a cap! As for the balance of my points I got a cheque {Which incidentally expires in 24 hours} for sixty eight cents!! What a Con!!..I had friends coming over to join me from The Wynn later that day, as we were looking forward to going to the Ghost bar,and I called their room and told them of my Palms experience and we went to Lavo on the strip instead. Always wanted to check out the Palms as I had heard good things about it a few years back. Beyond disappointing! Sent this review to The Palms hotel..no reply..no class.JFZ

Palms is nasty when you beat them. I won at blackjack and they wanted to trespass me. I was told that they did not like my skill level at blackjack and only wanted tourists who give away money. Very dirty group of people.

Got a great deal off a website to stay here before Thanksgiving for $50 a night, which was worth what I got. Rooms are good, clean, with a large bathroom, and view of neighboring tower and of the strip. Casino area is fairly lame, and houses a cineplex and some food courts so it had a very mall-ish feel to it. Mostly very young clientele (which they are targeting with tattoo parlor on premises) so I think really 19-21 yr old college kids would like this as a first time Vegas experience, not really for anyone else. It's too far to walk to the strip or old vegas so you have to cab it. And past midnight there seemed to be lots of single ladies playing the slots, directly in the path to the room elevators. Take that to mean what you will, just an observation. Overall good value, but more a first time Vegas place for kids on a roadtrip (with a vehicle).
