Stayed at the Palms May 11 to the 15th. We booked it through Travelocity months prior and called The Palms to confirm our reservation. Immediately the woman at the desk informed us our room was upgraded to the Fantasy Tower "no charge". Upon arrival the staff was excellent and very friendly. She informed us of the free passes to all the clubs (Ghostbar, Moon and the Playboy Club). With us not sure where we were going, the staff escorted us to the elevator up to our room. The room was very clean, huge bed, and new flat screen TV's. After settling in, we headed down to the casino for some drinks. The bartenders were very friendly and outgoing.

The following day we headed to the pool. My first impression was not good as Security searched us, bags and pockets not alowing any food, drinks or towels. Understandingly because they want you to spend money at the bar. After a few ours of sitting by the pool, we ended up sitting at the bar meeting some seemingly nice "folks" from KY. As we ordered a couple more drinks from the bar, a few guys (from KY) distracted us while my friend handed the bartender her credit card. Next thing you know, her credit card and drivers lisence was GONE! we immediatly asked the bartender if he had it. his reply was "no I just put them in front of you". After searching around we noticed one of the "gentlemen" from KY was gone. The bartender promptly informed Security and within minutes the CCTV tapes were reviewed and sure enough one of these fine "good ole boys" swiped it! It did'nt take long before myself the bartender and Security found him in the casino. Everything was returned :) THANK YOU GUYS!!!!

I stayed at the Palms from Tuesday through Friday. The service was outstanding, very friendly people everywhere you go.

I booked the room through my airline and got a bargain basement rate of $59.00 per night. For some reason, when I checked in, my room was upgraded. The room had a king sized bed and was huge. Everything was super clean.

During the day, as soon as you walk into the front foyer of the casino, the smoke smell hits you. It’s terrible. Strange, though, the air in the evening is much easier to tolerate. Maybe they don’t run the same type of ventilation during the day. For that reason, I won’t stay there again. Casino air quality has improved in the last few years, so I’ll go to those places.

As soon as Friday came around, the medium age of the clientle changed. Crazy party hardy 20 somethings infested the casino. For me, it’s not fun to see a bunch of drunk college kids on the prowl like Spring break. Been there. Done that.

The spa is absolutely, totally amazing. Lori (from Hawaii) did my facial (enzyme something) and my skin is wonderful. Worth the time and money. Allow extra time to take advantage of everything the spa has to offer during your service (steam room, hot tub, etc…)

It's really OK being away from the strip if you have a car or don't mind the cab fare.

While you're there, you can get a tatoo.

Great tasting salsa and drinks at the Mexican restaurant in the lobby area. Nice food court, too, if you're hungry and need a quick something.

I've stayed at 18 hotels in Vegas, and this hotel is average.
It's a good walk to the strip.
With the only Playboy Club still in existence, and with Playboy Bunny pictures on every column in the casino, you would think that this hotel would be sexier than most, but it's not. The cocktail waitress outfits are not revealing like at the Rio.
The pool has a contemporary (snobbish) design, and is not all that attractive. Same with the interior design of the buffet.
The buffet is a great deal, however, unlike most hotels on the strip.
The room was nothing special, although I liked the bathroom.
The spa is fantastic, and I got free passes while I was there, which is very rare for strip hotels.
The Playboy Club is just a place to sit around and drink, with $25/hand blackjack-dealer bunnies. I got a free pass with my stay here.
I enjoyed my stay here, and periodically go back for the buffet, and with the TV show "The Real World" filmed here, and the Playboy Club here, you expect more, but the Hard Rock Hotel and Planet Hollywood are more cutting edge for the young folk. But you can't go wrong staying here.

I booked a two bedroom suite for myself and 3 friends at Palms Place for an extended weekend trip. Excellent service from every staff member! The second the limo pulled up, a hotel employee was already waiting to open the door and let us out. The front desk staff were awesome, they seemed to really be enthusiastic about treating guests with a smile. The bell hop was awesome too, he told us everything that was going on for the weekend. I'm really surprised with some of the people's reviews here. Everything about this hotel was top notch.

The best thing about this hotel - there is ALWAYS something going on. It has the Ghostbar (very chill), the Rain and Moon nightclubs, and the world's only Playboy Club. All of these places were great. If you can afford bottle service, definitely get it! Your table will be it's own party.

The only downside is that the Palms is not located on the Strip. It wasn't a downside for me though. I loved the Palms, you could stay there, never visit the Strip and still have an amazing time. I am definitely going back!

We had gotten to Vegas early Saturday morning (before check in time) so we decided to head to the pool until our rooms were ready. Mind you we are super amped to be in Vegas and staying @ the Palms we were just ready to have a good time. We make our way to the pool and are looking for 5 chairs so we can all sit together. We ask the nice lifeguard if all of these chairs were reserved and he said the ones that didn't say reserved were open. We asked if he would be able to get us 5 chairs for us he said no, he could get us 4 BUT we could rent a cabana or VIP section-hmm ok well how much does that cost? $500.00. Um ok, well no thanks, we will take the 4 chairs. We made due with what we had but that put a bad taste in our mouth. After that we spend a good 4 hours at the pool and had a good time.

Room. My husband and I had a non smoking room with a king size bed. We had a view of the pool which was nice but we could hear the music and conversations that were coming from the pool (we were on the 11th floor!) We could also hear the music from the clubs. On the surface the room was ok, it was alot 'older' looking than I was expecting but the bed was comfy. The room was not as clean as I would like, there were pieces of glass and hair clips on the floor which was a little concerning. The bathroom was nice on the surface but the shower was awful (flooded the floor when I turned it on) and no fan to air out the bathroom after you shower.

The casino was nice and gave off a young fun vibe, but very smoky. All in all we were just let down by this place. I would not stay at this hotel again unless it was a VIP suit and given to us for free. Ghostbar was cool, but not worth paying to get in (thank goodness we were able to line jump and get in for free). I think they need to put some love back into these rooms especially since they are off the strip, you want to keep people happy to stay somewhere off the strip. I am curious to know how the other tower rooms looked.
