Got a buy one night, get one night free deal through tripres.com

The hotel is slighty off the Strip (about a 5 min drive, not bad at all, and we liked stepping away from all the hustle and bustle after a long day).

We went on weekdays during a slow week and so were able to avoid the weekend club crowd.

Our room was in the Fantasy Tower, and was VERY nice. Clean, modern, and comfortable bed, flatscreen TV. Tons of personal care items from Aveda and some Axe samples too.

We had some noisy neighbors on the floor who would stumble in late after (I'm assuming, drinking, partying, gambling) talking and laughing really loud in the hallway for long periods of time, but other than that, it was a great experience.

We got $10 in free slot play for signing up for the players club.

Didn't try the buffet, but heard mixed reviews.

“somewhere between good and great”

My wife and I booked one of the superior rooms in the Fantasy tower,($139 per night) on Jan 1st -4th. We arrived at the hotel 4 hours before check in, and were surprised to find out our room was ready. The room was very nice, clean, very comfortable bed, plenty of room. The view was just OK. ( only able to see small part of the strip). We had some friends with us who had booked rooms in the other tower and politely asked at check in if they could move to the Fantasy tower and were allowed to at no charge( Original room was $89).

Casino
The Casino is nice but small. Good selection of games but later in the evening it can be hard to find open seats. lots of $5 tables during the day and $10 and night. Dealers are mostly friendly. My main complaint with the casino would be the lack of cocktail service. Two different times I spent over and hour at a gaming table without ever seeing a cocktail waitress. I should also report that this was the first time in a very long time that I actually won more money than I lost over the length of a trip.

Food
Lots of choices, Had dinner at Nine Steakhouse, It was above average but with all the other choices in town there is no reason to eat there again. Room service for breakfast was good.

Getting around
Cabs are a must, costs about $7 to get the the strip (Caesars) and just a few bucks more for most other hotels, I don't really mind paying this considering moving around the strip via the monorail is $6 per person for a single ride.

Overall its a nice place with a good vibe if your looking to stay in a nice room at a moderate priced place you should be happy. There is nothing big to complain about but not much to brag about either. Its a great step up form places like Tropicana, Imperial Palace,Riveara or Circus Circus, But not in the same league as MGM, Mirage ,and Mandaly Bay.

If for some reason you are the type of person who doesn't like to see beautiful women, stay far away from the Palms..............

I was wondering why the The Palms was so far from The Strip. When we got up to the Playboy Club and saw the views away from The Strip, I was blown away.

The DJ was great and the place was fairly empty for a Thursday. Moon, the club above, was packed.

The bunnies were short and cute, so they were not intimidating. There were a bunch of couples there.

My advice is to dress up anywhere you go to Las Vegas, so you can get in quickly and be treated well.

This was a decent place to stay for the price we got--you Must have a car, however because there's no easy way to get anywhere else from there. The people were nice, the food choices were pretty good, my only complaint is that we booked a suite and there were only regular rooms when we arrived; and we weren't compensated in any way for that.

First off to really experience The Palms get off the casino floor if you want to experience The Palms. The small casino floor does feel more like a lobby - and really is nothing more than your entry way to your experience.

The slots were loose which is what I like to play.

We booked in an entry level ($150) room in the new BEAUTIFUL inside and out FANTASY TOWER.

We were staying at Bills Gambling Hall for the week - but for Christmas Eve we wanted to dine at NOVE and enjoy The Playboy Club. NOVE has fantastic food, beautiful decor, amazing service, great drinks, and direct access to the elegant Playboy Club.

We did our research and knew that staying as a guest (free admission and front of line to clubs) has it's NEEDED perks for us to enjoy the place (we are a gay couple in our early 40's).

Everything about the new tower is high end, stylish, and fun.

Now here comes the big get from this trip to Vegas.
We walked up to the front desk to check in and the very nice young man managing the desk gave us a FREE upgrade to enjoy Christmas Eve in a Fantasy Tower PENTHOUSE. Did I mention this was a FREE upgrade gift. We had not yet even put a quarter in the slots.

The Penthouse is 2,200 square feet.
8 Flatscreens.
Surround sound music system.
Double sided fireplace.
Walk-in closet.
Three bathrooms.
Steamroom shower - an AMAZING treat they do not
list on the website.
Jacuzzi.
Party shower - lightshow and speakers.
Full wet bar.
Electronic controls for the sheers and curtains.
And a frosted window between one bathroom and the dining room (marble dining table that seats 6) - that you can put your dancers behind for some "shadow dancing".
Room capacity for parties is listed at 62!
Normal price - $3000.00

We had a blast on The Palms - and how can you beat customer service like this. Yes I know this had to be a rare treat but I also know that we were treated like royalty everywhere we went.
Service was fantastic.
The Playboy Club was free and enjoyable for us.
The Bunny cocktail servers and blackjack dealers are elegant and beautiful and pull off class in bunny ears and a cotton tail.

The views - best I have ever experienced. We have stayed in the newest tower at Ceasers Palace - and being a bit off the strip makes all the difference in the view. Sunrise and sunset on the mountains was amazing - we could even see SNOW on the most distant peak Christmas morning.

Other than the tricked out $3000 room for free - I still think this experience would have been a treat - adults should feel free to know they are the target market of the new Fantasy Tower and that you will be treated like royalty.

Thank You Palms Mangemant for a wonderful experience.
