First off to really experience The Palms get off the casino floor if you want to experience The Palms. The small casino floor does feel more like a lobby - and really is nothing more than your entry way to your experience.

The slots were loose which is what I like to play.

We booked in an entry level ($150) room in the new BEAUTIFUL inside and out FANTASY TOWER.

We were staying at Bills Gambling Hall for the week - but for Christmas Eve we wanted to dine at NOVE and enjoy The Playboy Club. NOVE has fantastic food, beautiful decor, amazing service, great drinks, and direct access to the elegant Playboy Club.

We did our research and knew that staying as a guest (free admission and front of line to clubs) has it's NEEDED perks for us to enjoy the place (we are a gay couple in our early 40's).

Everything about the new tower is high end, stylish, and fun.

Now here comes the big get from this trip to Vegas.
We walked up to the front desk to check in and the very nice young man managing the desk gave us a FREE upgrade to enjoy Christmas Eve in a Fantasy Tower PENTHOUSE. Did I mention this was a FREE upgrade gift. We had not yet even put a quarter in the slots.

The Penthouse is 2,200 square feet.
8 Flatscreens.
Surround sound music system.
Double sided fireplace.
Walk-in closet.
Three bathrooms.
Steamroom shower - an AMAZING treat they do not
list on the website.
Jacuzzi.
Party shower - lightshow and speakers.
Full wet bar.
Electronic controls for the sheers and curtains.
And a frosted window between one bathroom and the dining room (marble dining table that seats 6) - that you can put your dancers behind for some "shadow dancing".
Room capacity for parties is listed at 62!
Normal price - $3000.00

We had a blast on The Palms - and how can you beat customer service like this. Yes I know this had to be a rare treat but I also know that we were treated like royalty everywhere we went.
Service was fantastic.
The Playboy Club was free and enjoyable for us.
The Bunny cocktail servers and blackjack dealers are elegant and beautiful and pull off class in bunny ears and a cotton tail.

The views - best I have ever experienced. We have stayed in the newest tower at Ceasers Palace - and being a bit off the strip makes all the difference in the view. Sunrise and sunset on the mountains was amazing - we could even see SNOW on the most distant peak Christmas morning.

Other than the tricked out $3000 room for free - I still think this experience would have been a treat - adults should feel free to know they are the target market of the new Fantasy Tower and that you will be treated like royalty.

Thank You Palms Mangemant for a wonderful experience.

The Palms -- supposedly a four star hotel, was slightly less than a two star business class hotel in Switzerland or Germany. The room was large and light with a great view of the strip; high quality linens, comforters, feather pillows, high thread-count sheets and duvet covers, nice complimentary products -- but when you LEFT the room --

Food throughout was mediocre to terrible. Ate in the Mexican restaurant (allegedly New Mexico cuisine) and it was the worst gringo/mex I've ever had. Salsa spicey, yes, but definitely with a nice splash of tomato sauce or ketchup for more than color. The 24/7 cafe, ordered eggs benedict, eggs fine, English muffin fine, gelatinous canned hollandaise over all but the under-cooked hash browns. And all of this for quite a LOT of money -- two meals, two people, two margaritas -- 100 bucks. There is, however, fantastic and authentic Asian food just two blocks away in Las Vegas China Town.

Music! Ah, lets not forget this! A loop that played pretty much the same stuff at the same time throughout the day -- the hotel caters to a young and presumably sexy crowd which might explain the music, but there is a difference between erotic/romantic and sleaze. You can get a good deal at the Palms, a good room for the price, but not a great experience.

The Playboy Club is in the other tower -- and though I wanted to go, my boyfriend didn't have any non-sports shoes so that made the expedition unlikely unless he bought new shoes which he didn't need --

Suites in new section were awesome! Bathroom had a ton of glass to look outside while shaving, bathing etc, or hit the privacy screen if you must. Bath had the water pour in from the ceiling cool!
We are in our late 40's but went to the Palms to see what the fuss was. We enjoyed all three of the clubs. Although a younger crowd and younger music we still had a ball. Get friendly with a host if your a player, they get you right in and comp you if you play enough.

Some other viewers said the casino area was small we thought it was plenty big enough. You could even find $10 games on the weekend I don't think that is bad.

Some of the local entertainment (Talent) was also great to watch. Both at the clubs and in the casino.

The only bad part was the spa. It was dirty and not updated on equipment which was also lacking. This was a surprise as I know most young people like to work out too. My wife tried the massage but that was a disappointment too. if you want a great Spa try the new one at the mirage. If you want to party stay at the Palms. We didn't try the food as no one staying at the hotel was recommending it.

The Palms hotel is located off the strip FYI. Not far at all but you will need to catch a cab or rent a car to make it there.

I stayed for 5 nights on business in a Jr Suite in the original tower. The bed was decent, they had Aveda toiletries, free shick shaver for men, rhoto eye drops, and toothpaste. Wifi internet in the room was $12.99 per 24hrs.

Elevators were fast and always working. In the evening you need to show your room card to the security guard at the elevator bank.

Little Buddha restaurant was good! nice atmosphere, good food, decent cocktails. But I prefer Tao Asian restaurant in the Venetian hotel over Little Buddha any day. Much better food, drinks, and ambiance. I highly recommend it.

The 24hr cafe downstairs at the Palm is great for breakfast (much better than the buffett on the casino floor).

The workout gym is good but costs $45 for a 3 day pass or $20 per day. Mens lockerroom has the steam room, dry sauna, cold and hot plunge pools, outdoor hot tub, showers, and lounge room with fresh fruit and snacks while you watch tv. Assorted drinks are provided as well. The gym is open 6am to 8pm. Free weights and nice cardio machines with TV are all available.

Parking is free at the Palms and they have a small food court with popular chains and a large theater complex.

If i were going back, I would stay at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay

“Not as nice as before”

The Palms Casino Hotel

I stayed at the Palms several years ago and was excited to stay there again after having a pleasant trip before. I was disappointed to arrive well past check in to discover our room still wasn't ready. Their idea of trying to compensate for our wait was offering us a smoking room rather than a non-smoking room which we requested. The staff at the check in desk were completely rude, unfriendly and not helpful. The bellman stared at us for several minutes before realizing we were standing there to check our bags while we waited for our room. No one was eager to help us get a cab or exit our cab like the other hotels we visited on our trip. Go to the Palms for the nightlife but not to stay.
