Another visit to Las Vegas - our 4th - and our 3rd stay at the Imperial Palace.
True, this is not the place to stay if you want luxury - this place is not the Bellagio or the Wynn (where we have also stayed) - but it's position on the strip, value for money and clean, large rooms are fantastic. The dealers in the casino are friendly and fun (take note the Wynn where it takes everything you have for the dealers to engage with you).
True, the lifts are a nightmare at busy times, the restaurants in the hotel are not great and the place could certainly do with a refurbishment. However for 6 nights accommodation we paid just over £200 - for the strip in Vegas!!!! The Bellagio was £400 more for the same dates. Spend the money you save on everything else Vegas has to offer.
Tips:~
For a fantastic dining experience go to Lawry's Prime Rib - fabulous restaurant and experience. Try the Wynn for breakfast - amazing value - $18.95 - and you won't want to eat again all day. See Love (the Beatles musical) at the Mirage. Go shopping at the Premium Outlet Mall - fantastic bargains - and make sure you buy the discount voucher at the information office before you start shopping. It's $5 and gives you a range of discounts in the stores there. I spent $300 in Kenneth Cole and got 20% off my whole purchase through buying the voucher!! If you can, take the helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon - amazing.
We will return again to Vegas and probably stay again at the IP - you spend so little time in your room in Vegas spend the money on having fun!!
