“Luv the Tub room”

I booked a Luv Tub room for 1 night at $109 plus tax. I'm the kind of person who loves to have a good soak in a bubble bath at the end of a long day of walking the Strip and gambling. This room was just the treat I needed.

I received room 9122 which is near the back of the property. This was fine and I didn't care if I had a view or the parking garage. I wanted to be away from the Carnival Court at Harrah's next door which is very loud until the wee hours of the morning. When I first checked in they gave me a room on the 3rd floor. And while it did not face Carnical Court it was still on that side of the building and I could clearly hear AC/DC and Def Leopard from the closed balcony door just being in the room for less than 30 minutes in the middle of the day. They kindly allowed me to change to a higher floor away from the noise.

The room itself was large and had a lot of open space. There was a seperate shower and tub in the bathroom. Some of the Luv Tub rooms only have a shower in the gigantic bathtub so i was greatful to have the small standard shower as well.

The bed was very soft and comfortable. Best bed I've had in LV at several hotels I've stayed at. Although I don't understand the need for a large mirror above the bed AND above the tub. I'm not really interested in seeing myself at so many different angles.

I also appreciated the large closet and seperate sink and vanity outside of the bathroom area which was perfect for luggage storage and getting ready in the morning.

The other perk of IP is the high speed WiFi for my laptop for $9.99 instead of the $12.99+ some hotels charge for dial-up. Excellent.

Gambling at the casino with the Dealer-tainners was fun around the Rapid Roulette table. I also saw Legends in Concert at IP and it was fantastic amount of fun. Free drink with the ticket price too.

I would not hesitate to stay at IP again. They were very friendly and helpful and I had a plesant experience there.

“Great location, but that's all that is great about this place”

Other than the location and price, this place doesn't have much going for it. It's located right in the centre of the Strip and is super close to everything you could wish for and for Vegas it's cheap as chips. However, it's old, tired, badly run, has ambivalent staff and in general a bit of a dive.
We had problems with our key and had to go three times to reception to get it fixed - this was a bit of a problem as it was about a 10 minute hike through lots of winding corridors and up and down different elevators from the basement type area our room was in and there was no particular concern or apology given. Then we couldn't sleep as the basement room looked out into the carpark where car alarms went off all night. We were moved to a room right beside the bus terminal area so woke up at 6am each morning to the sounds of buses and tour groups.
Both rooms we had were very average - old tired decor and minimal amenities.
The casino is ok, but a bit seedy, though the dealer-tainers are a bit of a laugh and the pizza restaurant in the hotel is really good.
For a bit more money you can get something far far nicer than this place.

“Not That Bad!!!”

My husband & I stayed at the IP the last week of FEB (SUN-THUR), for trip number 3 to Vegas. This was my first time staying at the IP, and I can honestly say that it was not that bad. We had a deluxe room on the 18th floor, the room was clean and very quiet, the view was not very good but we did not spend much time looking out of the window. My only complaint was the TV which was very small.
If you want to save money and have a great location the IP is for you if you want fancy rooms stay some where else.

This was a terrible Hotel, I requested a queen bed we had 2 doubles, They were remodeling the floor we had to go on. It took two elevators to get to our floor, it was noisy and smelly. Spend a little more money and stay at a better hotel...If I have one nice thing to say it was centrally located and the taxi service was fast.

We have recently stayed at the Imperial Palace for 9 nights. This is my second time staying here. It is ideally placed on the strip to visit the other hotels, and having the monorail station on hand a bonus. The hotel has recently been redecorated, it has nice restaurants and helpful staff.

One word of caution, ask for a quiet room or buy ear plugs (which I found very good), as the hotel next door have bands and music that play till 3am, this is not the fault of the Imperial Palace. Of course if you are out till 3am then this will not bother you. I am sure certail parts of the hotel cannot heaar the noise at all, we just happened to overlook Harrahs and were on the 18th floor and the sound carried.I have stayed on lower florr in the past and had no noise.

The conceirge desk is very helpful to book trips and shuttles to airport. I can recommend visiting Red Rock Canyon, a half day trip not too far from Vegas. A very pretty canyon, good place to go if you like walking/climbing.

A tip if using the monorail don't get off at Ballys it takes about 20 mins to walk thru hotel and shops to get to it. But if not in a hurry nice shops and an ice cream stand that does a lovely Baileys shake.
Tip 2.. Don't go to the American Superstars show at the Stratosphere, very amateurish, poor buffet unless you like seafood. Hotal needs refit.

I look forward to a return visit to Vegas in the future and if it's still there, will proably stay at Imperial Palace again.
