Like many other folks, I was very nervous about my selection to stay at the Imperial Palace. I agree the place can be a maze and that it is very old and not as fancy as some places on the strip. But the price and the location were perfect. I made sure to ask for a quiet room on the opposite side of Harrah's and after visiting that area in the evening I was very glad we did. We were traveling with two teenagers and after about 11pm they were back in the room ready to relax. We went to the doughnut place downstairs and it was expensive (like anything else) but it served its purpose. We also went to the Pizza Palace upstairs and it was a little on the slow side as far as service goes, but the food was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. I was afraid it would have a smokey smell like the hallways, but it was fine. We figured out early the closest elevators to our rooms and never once used the main ones by the casino. I do not recommend those what so ever. There was always a huge line. It was a little bit of a walk to get to our elevators but we never once had to wait and there never were other people in them. We highly recommend the car display upstairs. Very neat. The coupon books in the lobby have coupons that you can take up to the rewards desk and get free passes. Worst thing about the whole place, and its no different in any of the other hotels is the people waiting to try and swoop you into looking at their time shares. You'd think if we had passed the same way three times in the last hour & half she'd remember we weren't interested. Very annoying. Other than that, as long as you understand going in its not the Ritz, you'll be fine.

Deluxe room, weekday, $50, king size bed.

My significant other and I arrived at 11pm and there was surprisingly a long line for check-in. Then, security allowed another line to be formed by check-out so we were able to get our room faster. So, we may have waited 30-45 minutes. No complaints with the elevators or getting to our rooms.

The room was nice, spacious, clean, and we had a balcony. The bathroom had two rooms - 1 room with a sink and 1 room with another sink and the shower/tub. The only complaint was that it took a little while for the water to go down the drain in the shower.

The actual casino was very fun because there is an entertainment pit where dealers are celebrities who go from dealing to performing. The casino is kind of small yet intimate and we actually won.

However, I knew not to attempt to eat the food there.

For the price and location, I would recommend Imperial Palace.

This hotel offers nice rooms at a very attractive price. There is not much to do in this hotel and the casino isn't as nice as others, however, it's a great place to crash for a few hours to get a little sleep before the next day.

The pool is fun and nice during the day. After 6 p.m. though the sun goes behind the tower and the pool is shaded. Most people are out parting at the pool during the day anyway.

Imperial Palace has an awesome location!!! It's very close to Caesar's and the Bellatio. The location alone is worth choosing this hotel. The staff keeps the hotel clean, it's just not real fancy.

Stayed for 3 nights in Feb 08. This hotel is cheap & is good if you are using it to sleep only.
The room itself only really has a bed in it.

The Hotel/Casino is in a great location & for the price you can't really complain.

The only real issue I have with it is that the elevators are a pain to use due to their awkward locations. Sometimes you need to use 2 sets of elevators just to get to your room or carpark.

I could not believe what I was told from the hotel rep when we were delayed because a misconnect problem with our airlines. We had booked a 3 night stay (PRE-PAID, mind you) through a package and our flight was late gettng in so we missed the connecting flight. I thought I was doing the right thing by calling the hotel to tell them of our misfortune.......boy was I wrong.

I was now told because I called , we can not refund the one night stay or give you any compensation because we held on to the reservation....which I had already paid for anyway.......how is that for CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is the policy of the hotel, I was told.

WHY WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO GIVE SOMETHING AWAY THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR !!!!!!

I am sorry, I have had my experience with this hotel & I would not recommend it to anyone unless you do not have any other choices.
