My wife stayed here in the past and after staying at other hotels during the NAB Convention, we thought we would try Paris. Our mistake. Like others, when we checked in we found "our room" was not available but another room was offered. We took it. We were told we could get an upgrade to a mini-suite for something like $85 more a night. We declined. After signing reservation card, we were told that if we didn't like our room, we could come back and get a better room (view, size, location) for an additional $60 per night. Room was so-so on 11th foor. Room seemd smaller than the room stayed in before... carpet was stained... windows dirty (outside)... old cigarette boxes and matches were found in room although it was a non-smoking floor. Bathroom was large and the nicest part of the stay.

Although, as mentioned, this was a non-smoking floor, we found a woman sitting by elevator using cell phone,,, while smoking. We had to pass by her.

Crowds are expected and waits too. We ate at Ballys Buffet one morning ($12.95) and this was very good. We love J’s Boulangerie and always have dessert there. This time, we also had breakfast there one morning.

Would I go back? Not likely.... too bad there are not more Hilton properties on the Strip.

We stayed at the Paris Hotel April 12th - 17th. The check in went very smoothly. They do ask if you would like a view and if so you need to pay extra. You could also upgrade to a suite for more money. We took our room on the 12th floor, it was a very nice room. I loved the bathroom, the tub and shower were separate. I used the Spa for a swedish massage. It was a very nice 50 minutes. I had a crepe for the very first time. It was delicious, they also had dessert crepes that looked wonderful. There is a little cafe shop with cafe mocha's and wonderful pastry..The Paris was a very busy place. The carosel bar in the middle of Paris is great. They have some very nice bartenders(Lilli). I have to say I liked the Paris but would go back to the Mirage to stay. The comps at the Mirage are much better. We gambled alot and got hardly anything comped to us. It was a very pricey Hotel!!!

I stayed at the Paris hotel from 4/9-4/12/06. The hotel rooms were very clean, comfortable and exceptionally quiet. It was spring vacation and the lower level main areas were packed with people, but on the whole the service and hotel were excellent. The only negative is that the hotel had the pool out of service for repair.

My friends and I stayed here for two nights (April 21st and 22nd) and we were impressed with the hotel. The location is fantastic - smack in the middle of the Strip. The staff was helpful and check in was not difficult.

The lobby is gorgeous - cobblestone flooring (attempting to mimic the streets of Paris) and faux storefronts with lit windows. Lots of interesting gift shops and random places to eat and drink... including a creperie vendor, mmmm.

Our room was fine - nice and large, not a great view but not horrible either. Bathroom was fine too - although one friend complained of the lack of a coffee maker in the room. Hairdryer was fantastic though!

On Saturday morning at 11am, the buffet line was ridiculous. We waited for ten minutes and moved about three spots and eventually decided to eat a la carte at a cafeteria-style restaraunt instead.

We ate our second breakfast at Le Cafe restaurant and had a nice time. Reasonable prices and the food was delicious. The servers were excellent although the cooks were slow - it took us quite a while to get our food, but the meal was excellent.

There's a prior review complaining about the smoke in the lobby. YES, the lobby is smoky. But that's not the hotel's fault - many gamblers smoke and you won't find a hotel (as far as I know) that bans smoking inside. We're from Boston and this was a tough change for us... we're used to clean air inside. But we realized that this is not the hotel's fault and the ventilation system is adequate.

Didn't do any gambling here, but one friend did and had fun. She said the dealers were patient and nice, and she enjoyed herself. :)

This was our first trip to Vegas and after reading several reviews I picked the Paris and we were not disappointed. We stayed there from April 19 - April 22. For a first timer, this was a great location. We were there at 10:30 am before our check in time and had no problem getting a room. We did pay for an upgrade which included a better view, which was worth it being our first time (probably won't pay next time we come). We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

For first timers, if you can't tolerate smoking, Vegas is not the town for you as it seemed everyone was smoking and drinking, and although not a smoker or drinker, it didn't particually bother me while in the casino. I liked the fact that the Paris casino was smaller as I was very overwhelmed at first. Vegas is an experience for anyone 21 and older. I would not recommend bringing children and could not understand why so many people had their small children there with them with all the partying and smoking, not a place for kids. It's an adult playground!

We only had 2 bad experiences while there, one of the gentleman dealers at Bally's was extremely rude and had the same experience at the Monte Carlo with a lady dealer, so we didn't go back to either place.

The people at the Paris were great and you can't beat the location. We will be back next year and this is the place to stay!
