My family stayed at the Paris, Las Vegas Resort from February 16 - February 20, 2006.
Our experience started off very well, as we were able to check into the hotel from the airport. Paris has a check-in desk located next to the baggage claim area. I would highly recommend checking in at the airport. While my husband was waiting on the luggage, I checked in and received my hotel room key. Therefore, upon arrival at the hotel, we went directly to our room with no waiting in the LONG check-in line at the hotel's front desk. Nice Perk!
The Resort was well themed and very nice to look at. The room we were assigned was on the 25th floor and had a decent view given the fact that we didn't pay for an upgraded room. We were able to see an obstructed view of the strip but couldn't see the Eiffel Tower. The room was bright and clean. The bathroom large and well decorated with lots of marble and a glass enclosed shower. The one complaint I had with the room was the lack of a closet. The room contained a wardrobe that housed the TV as well as 2 small areas to hang your clothing. With a family of four, I found the wardrobe provisions a bit small. Additionally, I like to hide my luggage inside the closet during the trip making for a less cluttered vacation room. Unfortunately, our luggage (and we had a bunch of bags) was piled in a corner of the room against the window for the entire vacation.
While in Paris, we ate at the Cafe de St. Louis for breakfast twice and thoroughly enjoyed both days. Although the line to get a table seemed long, it moved very quickly. The wait staff was attentive enough and the food came out very fast, which was a plus for us because we are always in a hurry.
We also had Sunday Brunch at Le Village and found it to be very enjoyable as well. The wide variety of dishes were all very tasty.
One thing we found odd about one of the restaurants open late night (can't remember the name), is that they didn't have take out containers so there was no way to bring food back to the room to others who were too tired to go down for dinner. I guess this encourages more costly Room Services meals.
The Mandara Spa on the 2nd Level was very enjoyable as well. The Deep Tissue Massage and Frangiapani Wrap were to die for!
Casino was small and we had terrible luck there. My husband gambled in several casinos and won in most of the others but NEVER won anything in Paris. Maybe it was just bad luck on his part but he is convinced it was the odds.
Overall, we enjoyed our trip. However, traveling with kids, I wouldn't stay at Paris again. There was not enough "fun" stuff to do. My kids really liked the Luxor, NYNY and Circus Circus when we visited because they had more activities. Good hotel for a couple.
