We stayed at the Paris for 5 nights and was a bit wary after reading a few reviews - but nothing to worry about! When we arrived we were expecting a massive 'check-in' queue, but found we were the only ones. Our room had a side view of the strip and had been renovated. Clean and decently sized bathroom with large shave mirror. There was a full length mirror on the inside of the bathroom door - there isn't a mirror in the room itself. We had a couple of large wardrobes with a huge flat screen tv inbetween. I read a review that mentioned there were no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms - my sister made herself a fresh cup of coffee every day - so no problems there. The beds were very comfy with reading lights above and also a clock-radio ipod docking station on the table inbetween.

We were at the pool for a couple of hours each afternoon - yes it was freezing, but a welcome relief in 35c heat. And yes, the music was pretty diverse (70's - 00's), but it was ok - you can't please every music taste!

We ate at Mon Ami Gabi and enjoyed watching the fountains as we ate - great food - very tender steak and the bitter chocolate mousse is a must! We also ate at the Eiffel Tower which although very expensive, was food to die for.....beware of the creme brulee - its massive!

We did some gambling - won the odd $20 dollars and on the last night fluked a $120 win on a poker machine - not a hard-core gambler, so this was just a bit of fun.

Went on the New York roller coaster and also did the Big Shot on the Stratosphere - bottled out of the other two....very scary!

If you can afford to - book yourself into the Steakhouse at Ballys for their Sunday Champagne Sterling Brunch - the best brunch on the strip. Constant flow of champage, lobster, caviar, sushi - the list goes on, and as for the desserts!! Just remember to pace yourself!!

Went to see Cirque De Soleil 'O' - amazing. Friends went to see KA, and Mystere which were apparently also fantastic.

The Bellagio fountains were beautiful and very often left you quite emotional!

All in all, a great hotel in probably the best location on the strip.
Would definitely stay at the Paris again, but would probably try the Bellagio next time just for a different experience.

Having never been to Las Vegas before, I had no idea what to expect. We had a wonderful time and had a beautiful view from our room on the 24th floor--you could see the Bellagio's fountain show perfectly, as well as the tower. The rooms were a good size and clean, and the property has a wonderful location, especially since the other end of the strip seemed pretty dirty.

The food was good and not too terribly overpriced, but of course they nickle and dime you for internet, minibar, etc, like any nicer hotel. You just have to accept that nowadays. The staff and dealers were very friendly, and we had a great time in the casino, although it was WAY too cold in there (bring a sweater ladies).

My only complaint was that we had booked an upgraded room with a view and a king bed, and by the time we got there--admittedly late--the desk clerk said they only had double beds with a view and king beds without a view. My boyfirend is really tall so double beds are not an option but we booked Paris for the view. So, after reading the reviews on on here, we slipped the desk clerk a 20 and ended up with our room--king bed and a view, and maybe on a nicer floor than we would normally get. It's irritating, but it's Vegas! Money talks.

It all worked out and I would defintely go back!!

This hotel is not the quality it should be for the price. It is not value for money, rather more like how quickly they can take your money. The mini bar has no prices listed and if you even move something it is charged to your room within 45 seconds. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, so you have to buy them. Breakfasts available at their cafes and restaurants are questionable, no cereal or toast anywhere only greasy fatty foods. Conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom but no shampoo.

We flew from Calgary where we were visting family to Las Vegas for a 4 night break. Our son had booked the Paris for us and we were very happy with the hotel and the location. We too were upgraded to a front facing room and on the 23rd floor which was great. Although older fashioned in style the rooms were spacious and clean with a nice roomy bathroom, Our upgrade to included the breakfast/evening buffet in the private lounge on the 31st floor which proved a bonus for us. The buffet continental breakfast had everything we needed provided free and the evening buffet replaced our having to search for somewhere to have an evening meal on a couple of nights. There were also two alcoholic free drinks per person included per night with an extensive choice available and as many soft drinks as you wanted. We found all the hotel staff very helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel is ideal and with the Deuce bus and monoriail options for transport up and down the strip everything was within reach. Would recommend this hotel to all 3/4 star hotel users but those used to 5 star would not be satisfied I am sure.

Worst Conference Hotel in Vegas

Of all the hotels to stay on for a conference in Vegas this has to be one of the worst. The facilities are limited, the staff unhelpful, and the rooms have limited and out-dated facilities. If you enjoy queuing for every meal (unless you've reserved in a premium restaurant) then you'll love it here.

You can't book the larger suites even if you want to pay for them, and so cannot get VIP/concierge service. That means that every room service order takes over an hour and you need to predict what your next meeting will want to eat and drink before they arrive.

My colleague was sent to Bally's next door as the Paris was full, despite confirming a reservation four months early.

No mini-bar. No water in the room. Old fashioned TV's with ancient VOD services that you can't pause or rewind.

Plus side, the Calais Suites do have a fax machine. Internet is an extra $13.99 a day - even in a $670 a night suite.

Stay somewhere else. Anywhere else.
