We stayed at the Paris for 5 nights and was a bit wary after reading a few reviews - but nothing to worry about! When we arrived we were expecting a massive 'check-in' queue, but found we were the only ones. Our room had a side view of the strip and had been renovated. Clean and decently sized bathroom with large shave mirror. There was a full length mirror on the inside of the bathroom door - there isn't a mirror in the room itself. We had a couple of large wardrobes with a huge flat screen tv inbetween. I read a review that mentioned there were no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms - my sister made herself a fresh cup of coffee every day - so no problems there. The beds were very comfy with reading lights above and also a clock-radio ipod docking station on the table inbetween.
We were at the pool for a couple of hours each afternoon - yes it was freezing, but a welcome relief in 35c heat. And yes, the music was pretty diverse (70's - 00's), but it was ok - you can't please every music taste!
We ate at Mon Ami Gabi and enjoyed watching the fountains as we ate - great food - very tender steak and the bitter chocolate mousse is a must! We also ate at the Eiffel Tower which although very expensive, was food to die for.....beware of the creme brulee - its massive!
We did some gambling - won the odd $20 dollars and on the last night fluked a $120 win on a poker machine - not a hard-core gambler, so this was just a bit of fun.
Went on the New York roller coaster and also did the Big Shot on the Stratosphere - bottled out of the other two....very scary!
If you can afford to - book yourself into the Steakhouse at Ballys for their Sunday Champagne Sterling Brunch - the best brunch on the strip. Constant flow of champage, lobster, caviar, sushi - the list goes on, and as for the desserts!! Just remember to pace yourself!!
Went to see Cirque De Soleil 'O' - amazing. Friends went to see KA, and Mystere which were apparently also fantastic.
The Bellagio fountains were beautiful and very often left you quite emotional!
All in all, a great hotel in probably the best location on the strip.
Would definitely stay at the Paris again, but would probably try the Bellagio next time just for a different experience.
