We arrived at the Paris hotel in Vegas on July 15th, 2008 for a 2 night stay.We booked their Premier room at $160/night. When we arrived to check in, we were offered an upgrade with a strip view for $65 more per night. We accepted the offer since we knew we wouldn't be back for some time and WOW, it was so worth it. The view from our room encompassed the pool, Planet Hollywood, the Paris Hot air balloon, the Eiffel tower and all of the Bellagio and the Bellagio fountains. The view was spectacular! Also included in the upgrade was access to an upper hotel lounge with 2 complimentary drinks per day per person and free local phone calls. That came in handy to make reservations at a few of the local restaurants.
The service at the hotel was second to none, the casino was a bit relaxed and proved quite lucrative to the wallet and the restaurants were unbelievable! Even the gift shops in the hotel weren't terribly overpriced. More expensive than gift shops on the strip, but still quite reasonable. Also, right next door to the Paris hotel is Planet Hollywood. In Planet Hollywood, there is a Chinese restaurant called P.F. Chang's. Absolutely the best chinese food I've ever had and very reasonably priced ($55 for two drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 desserts). I would rate this hotel 10/10 on all amenities and will be staying there again on our next vacation to Vegas.

“Great place to stay!”

Paris Las Vegas

We stayed at Paris and overall really enjoyed it. The casinos are very nice, but the coctail waitresses seemed to be a little sparse. Our room was nice and comfortable, but we got two double beds instead of a king, after requesting a king. Really, not a big deal though. The rooms were clean and had ample room for all of our stuff. Our only complaint was the lack of hot water. I could never get any hot water in the bathtub and it took awhile to get any in the shower. We heard little noise while in our room (on the 17th floor). The pool area is very nice. Overall, we would definitely reccomend the Paris.

“Sucks, don't bother”

Paris Las Vegas

Want to smoke? It's free on every floor - even the non-smoking ones and management doesn't care. I should have just slept on the casino floor.

Want to check in? Be prepared to wait more than hour to do so, unless you have special status.

Want your room cleaned? Sketchy at best. beware of the rubber glove(s) that get left in the hall way and stay there for more than 24 hrs. Wash your glasses before you use them.

Want to sue? Go get ice. There are huge puddles that after calling into mgmt don't get resolved. Great for a slip and fall. Sure fire for a win in Vegas.

Want to complain? Good luck!!! 5 phone calls to the front desk and 23 transfers later - the MOD (manager on duty) tells me to live with it.

Want a concierge? Ha Ha - service is only available 4 hours each day and you have to wait in line for more than an hour to get it.

Want to buy sundries? Wait in line for 45 minutes as the operators are not trained on the machines. God forbid they run out of paper (who would have thought that they would do volume?) The folks can't work the cash register and tell you to run across the street to do so - only they have the same issues.

Want to watch to TV? Good luck with the remotes - the batteries need changing and most often we could'nt get it to come on.

Want to complain? See above.

Want restaurant recommendations? (oh wait, the concierge only works 4 hours a day and requires a line wait before servicing)

Summary - if you do nothing but gamble and just need a place to crash and you don't care about the smoke smell - perhaps it is fine. If you are here for a conference and need to get work done - good luck. If you are a pampered guest - forget about it.

With all the hotels available in Vegas, why stay here?

We visit Vegas about 6 times a year - mainly for business.

We spent 3 nights at Paris for the first time and it was just fine. The location clearly is perfect - especially in the Vegas summer.

Upon arrival we were perturbed to see a LONG line for check-in and had visions of an hour plus wait. Nope - the hotel had 12 windows open - check-in proceeded briskly and we were done in 20 minutes. Not award winning but hey - it was prime time.

Our room was great - clean - above average bed - decent size bathroom with tub & separate shower. Nice big HDTV. The romantic french love seat however. très inconfortable.

The only "low" point was their steakhouse. French it ain't. We were seated RIGHT next to a solo dinner in an otherwise empty and cavernous room. Why do they do that?!? A very mediocre meal for $350. Inattentive service. Pedestrian food. Boring.

The pool was fine - not too crowded - lots of free chairs. Nice view of the surrounding environs. Good bar service. All well.

Paris is what it is - an inexpensive hotel with a great location. It's not a 5 star hotel - nor does it charge like one.

We will definitely return.
