Stayed in the Paris Las Vegas during a 'lads' 4 night stay from 27/09/07 - 01/10/07.
Had previously stayed here before when we came to Las Vegas in 2004 and we're swayed by its location on the 'strip' and the fact that we had such a great time.
So let the holiday commence, which it did unfortunately with lengthy delays to our flights both from Manchester and our connecting flights from Philadelphia to Las Vegas. This meant that we were nearly 6 hours delayed getting into Vegas and not arriving to the Paris Las Vegas until just before midnight.
It then seemed to take an eternity to get checked-in as they appeared to not have many rooms left, at least not many non-smoking rooms available. After legthy conversations and attempts to try and get my party an upgrade if no suitable rooms could be found, I finally got the party booked into the three double rooms that we had booked. A bit of a bad start to the holiday, but we were determined to not let the delays and problems with the allocation of rooms deter us from having a great time in Vegas. Of the three rooms provided, one of them had a part view of the strip and the Bellagio on the 7th floor, the other rooms were facing the back of the hotel - not a problem as we weren't planning on having much sleep on this holiday.
All the rooms were nicely decorated and furnished with large Queen sized beds to help get over the jet lag. The bathroom was nice, albeit no bath, but a walk in shower which was nice and powerful to wake you up in the morning. All rooms had a safe and the TV showed all the necessary stations to catch up on the final weekend of Baseball action - go Red Sox!!
With sleep deprevation setting in following our marathon journey, and the fact that we probably hadn't had any sleep in over 24 hours we all met at 'Le Central Lobby Lounge', which is one of the Bars located in the casino. Bearing in mind it was now gone 1am, we all settled down in the comfort of the Bar and surrounding Casino and drank our first 'US' drinks - I think most opted for either Bud Light's or Corrs Light - refreshing and hopefully the start of a great vacation.
Without boring you all too much about 'My Diary of Las Vegas' - we ended up having a fantastic time in both Paris and Las Vegas. We made full use of 'Le Village Buffet' every morning for I think $16, it was worth the visit as we normally ate enough food to last us through until the evening. There is so much selection and a you just end up eating so much!!
Within the Hotel, we made full use of the pool in the afternoon after what was normally a tiring morining walking up and down the strip visiting the other casinos or going to the shopping outlet villages. The pool was of a good size, although busy, you could always find yourself somewhere to lie down and soak up the sun, which considering it was approaching October the temperature was in the 90's. Beware if you ever buy drinks buy the pool - they are expensive, $4 for a bottle of coke!!
Once inside the hotel, we liked the Paris as the gaming floor is a nice size and one that if some of your party wander off, you always find them within a few minutes. Our group enjoyed playing the Roulette, Black Jack and Poker - all with their own success and failure stories. All the gaming tables were fun and you never felt intimidated and this made for a good atmosphere and helped while away the hours and dollars!!
Overall, another fantastic and enjoyable stay in Paris Las Vegas and I wouldn't hesitate in coming back to this hotel again on my next visit, which for me is next February, but I'll be on a budget as I'm doing a West Coast tour and I'll probably have to opt for a cheaper hotel next year.
