If you don't mind being 15 min. off the Strip, this place, tucked away in northwest Las Vegas, is wonderful, makes you feel like you're not even in Las Vegas!
Stayed with softball team. When I heard "Marriott", I expected a very basic hotel. "JW Marriott" must be the upscale tier of Marriott properties. As we drove in, the 2 towers looked lovely & fancy.
Free valet parking for guests! (excluding valet tip). I recommend this because the hotel grounds are huge & regular guest parking is a bit of a walk from the lobby.
Our room had 2 queens & was very spacious. Nice-sized walk-in closet. Best thing: the bathroom! Granite vanity with 2 sinks, big spa tub, separate shower & separate toilet. Plenty of room for 2 or more to get ready in. Brightly lit.
One bad thing about the room: Instead of having a small fridge, they have what they call a tiny "cooler", which is not cold; you can't store food in it overnight. I hope this isn't a trend ... sports teams need a cold fridge!
Beds were amazingly comfy. Plenty of comfy pillows. Free wireless Internet.
Inside, between the 2 towers, were several restaurants, Starbucks, casino, gym, spa. There's 1 24-hour cafe. Food is decent, but service is very slow. Restaurants are Italian, Japanese, Mexican, etc. Japanese one was unimpressive & over-priced. Gym & spa charge expensive fee per use.
Staff was friendly & helpful. One bad thing: there are people at the front desk in the main (Spa) tower, but not in the 2nd tower. You can't go to anyone to ask for help, you have to call the main tower.
Our team rate was $129 per night. I would definitely stay again! It felt like a luxury hotel. You felt like you were away!
