Booked a four-night stay here on Vegas.com after trying to book directly without success for Jan 1-5, 2007 based on location, price and other reviews. Requested two-bed, non-smoking room was "not available" on check-in after midnight; however, refused this and did get same in South Tower but last room in hall away from elevator. Requested North Tower based on advice and told could switch after 1st night but didn't bother. South Tower is very shabby, although room is spacious with clean bathroom and comfortable, clean beds. Poor room experience made us decide to skip any of Bally's restaurants and cut trip short for last night. Casino area is good but no way is this a four-star property. This was first rip to Las Vegas and a real disappointment, "Okay" at best. Recommend fantastic Aladdin buffet and shopping around the corner, and Barbary Coast midnight breakfast specials across the street.

My husband and I stayed at Bally's for 5 nights in Nov. We had a great time. We upgraded our room without any hassle. The room was clean and attractively decorated. Bally's may not be as glitzy as some hotels in LV but when you can go enjoy all of the others that are so close who cares. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Paris and we felt like we got the ammentities of two hotels for the price of one. The location of Bally's is great, right in the middle of everything. When we go back we will be sure to stay here.

If you have a car, parking is a bit far, but once inside the hotel and casino, the service was spectacular. The room was lovely, recently updated and had very good amenities.

I will definitely stay at Bally's on any return visit to Las Vegas.

We stayed at Ballys for a week while in vegas. We arrived about 2 hours early for check in and since this has happened before we always have been able to check in early. My husband went to the counter and explained we are a little early and the guy said we have to come back in 2 hours.... ok so now we have 2 big suitcases and no place to really go but the casino. We sat in a very smokey casino there and waited. The hotel looks very dated and the air is terrible. After visiting the other casinos while on our trip i realized that Ballys is lacking in good air exchange. You end up stinking of smoke.
The staff was ok but not overly friendly. There is a tunnel connecting the hotel with the paris las vegas so we spent alot of time in that casino and having dinner there. We had a terrible experience in the Ballys italian restaurant that we wouldnt eat in the hotel again. The food was salty and just not enjoyable at all. Definitely check out the restaurants in the Paris if you are there!
If you are looking for a place to just crash and you dont care too much about the smoke then ballys is a good cheap choice.
Otherwise i would definitely choose the Paris!
